Trump’s getting roasted in the latest New York Times piece,
I think we'll take a hit in 25, but ....Each year we are less wealthy than the year before
I absolutely agree, and wish Trump had "known his own limitations."Its unsustainable overall
And downright stupid when it comes to china
You give up too easilyI absolutely agree, and wish Trump had "known his own limitations."
Hey conservative quoting an article from the New York Times? Let me guess. You adore Liz Cheney and Adam Huntsinger and think Adam Schiff and Tim Walz are the greatest.Trump’s getting roasted in the latest New York Times piece, and it’s juicy! He was strutting around, promising 145% tariffs on Chinese goods would force companies to build factories in the USA. But surprise, surprise—his big plan’s a total dud! Big dogs like Walmart and Target told him straight: his tariffs would jack up prices and leave shelves empty. Now Trump’s admitting they’re a bust and backing off fast.
Where’s the “deal-maker” who was gonna make the world beg? Looks like reality slapped him silly!
The article’s got more dirt. Trump’s not just caving on tariffs. He’s dodging other fights too. He backed off firing the Federal Reserve chairman and, with the stock market down 10% since he started, his Treasury secretary’s scrambling to avoid a full-on trade war with China. This is the guy who said he’d make global trade bow to America, but now he’s learning it’s not as easy as tweeting tough. The Times calls it a “vivid case study” in Trump’s economic faceplant. Anyone else cracking up at this?
Trump’s crew is spinning it like he’s playing 4D chess, with his press secretary saying “have patience” and claiming 90 countries are ready to deal. Yeah, sure, Karoline! Sounds like a weak excuse for a guy who’s in way over his head. Check out the full takedown on nytimes.com. It’s brutal. So, what’s the vibe? Is Trump’s retreat a total humiliation, or are his diehards still buying the “genius” act? Spill the tea below and let’s clown this flop! #TrumpTariffs #BigL

Trump’s Tariffs Bump Into Reality as Economic Strategy Wavers
President Trump has said his punishing tariffs would force companies to build factories in the United States. But it is far from clear that they will have the effects he predicted.www.nytimes.com
It appears that many of the liberals here have no clue as to how to negotiate. Perhaps because they work on some government job where they never have to do that. When the largest company CEOs tell you that shelves will be empty and prices will rise it tends to catch the attention of even dumbass Don. Walmart, Target, Home Depot.
Top CEOs Warn Trump Tariffs Will Empty Store Shelves
“The big box CEOs flat out told him the prices aren’t going up, they’re steady right now, but they will go up,” an administration official familiar with the meeting told Axios. “And this wasn’t about food. But he was told that shelves will be empty.”
According to a separate official briefed on the meeting, Trump was told that if he doesn’t change course, the impact could be noticeable in as little as two weeks.
The CEOs words seemed to have some sway on the president.
The following day, Trump told reporters that tariffs on China will “come down substantially” from his previously announced 145% rate.
Yes. I want inexpensive shoes so I have excess money to spend on American movies and American Travel and all the experiential stuff we ACTUALLY MAKE MONEY DOING and enjoy. The first option is make them in America where sports shoes were invented
But you want cheap shoes made by de facto slave labor
So they could be made in India or SE Asia instead
Either way china is not in the picture and thats a positive
However, what will the afore mentioned countries buy from America to achieve balanced trade?
Because we cant continue to bleed US wealth to the rest of the world
The CEO of Walmart and Home Depot are liberals? Are you 'tarded? It appears that many of the liberals here have no clue as to how to negotiate. Perhaps because they work on some government job where they never have to do that.

On the other hand, chuckles: Here is every country working on trade deals with the USTrumps idiotic tarriff initiative isn’t supporting the US it is hurting us and our citizens and our future.
Prior to Trump 1.0 there were no tariffs. Trump 1.0 caused an escalation of tariffs to about 60% of the goods getting 20% Tariffs which is about a 13% tariff rate, pretty even between the 2 countries, however ours were a little HIGHER. Then you can see the numbskull shit recently. It is all linked below and i even pasted in a picture for you to see.Source: TDS’ing wacko in cyberspace
Come on purple hair…because you say so doesn’t work for sane folks
I was talking about the clueless slippers here who do not know how to negotiate. I doubt that any of them were ever in business or real estate or had any job where they had to use negotiating skills. As a helpful hint, you always ask for the sun and take the moon when you are negotiating. I hope this helps. The CEO of Walmart and Home Depot are liberals? Are you 'tarded?
Do you have a link showing those stats? Each year we are less wealthy than the year before
What’s your point? On the other hand, chuckles: Here is every country working on trade deals with the US
It went over your head, obviously. What’s your point?
Obviously. Can you explain it?It went over your head, obviously.
If you walk into a car lot and offer $1 for a car.. that's not "negotiating skills". That is trolling. How does this make sense?I was talking about the clueless slippers here who do not know how to negotiate. Obviously, the tariffs imposed on US goods, will be renegotiated.Obviously. Can you explain it?
