If you mean Trump, its a supercalifragilisticdocious thing.Which problem are you talking about fixing? There's so many.
How many illegal aliens do you believe are in this country?Biden let's 15 million illegals including criminals and terrorists in the country. There's going to be some collateral damage in getting them out. Sorry about that
How many business deals have you actually signed?Trump’s getting roasted in the latest New York Times piece, and it’s juicy! He was strutting around, promising 145% tariffs on Chinese goods would force companies to build factories in the USA. But surprise, surprise—his big plan’s a total dud! Big dogs like Walmart and Target told him straight: his tariffs would jack up prices and leave shelves empty. Now Trump’s admitting they’re a bust and backing off fast.
Where’s the “deal-maker” who was gonna make the world beg? Looks like reality slapped him silly!
The article’s got more dirt. Trump’s not just caving on tariffs. He’s dodging other fights too. He backed off firing the Federal Reserve chairman and, with the stock market down 10% since he started, his Treasury secretary’s scrambling to avoid a full-on trade war with China. This is the guy who said he’d make global trade bow to America, but now he’s learning it’s not as easy as tweeting tough. The Times calls it a “vivid case study” in Trump’s economic faceplant. Anyone else cracking up at this?
Trump’s crew is spinning it like he’s playing 4D chess, with his press secretary saying “have patience” and claiming 90 countries are ready to deal. Yeah, sure, Karoline! Sounds like a weak excuse for a guy who’s in way over his head. Check out the full takedown on nytimes.com. It’s brutal. So, what’s the vibe? Is Trump’s retreat a total humiliation, or are his diehards still buying the “genius” act? Spill the tea below and let’s clown this flop! #TrumpTariffs #BigL

Trump’s Tariffs Bump Into Reality as Economic Strategy Wavers
President Trump has said his punishing tariffs would force companies to build factories in the United States. But it is far from clear that they will have the effects he predicted.www.nytimes.com
trump is desperately trying to move the US backwards. He wants to Make America White Again. It stands to reason that he wants to shut down the outside world. How is making the American people pay tariffs on every import they buy getting back "some of the money everybody is stealing from us"? Especially given that trade deficits are all about buying and selling good and services, nothing to do with government revenues at all.
Tariffs are an easy way to get tax money. You just send a tax collector to the port of entry and collect a percentage from the merchants when they show up to collect their goods. If nobody shows up, the governments seizes and sells the goods and pockets all of the money.
No IRS, no tax returns, paperwork, or accountants required. No IRS to go after RICH PEOPLE. Plus people will bribe you to keep from paying tariffs.
That's how it worked in the 1800's. Not today, grandpa. Time to move into the 21st Century and start living in the real world.
trump was born entitled. The reporter from the Atlantic who interviewed Trump yesterday, asked him what's different in this administration, and Trump said this time staffers aren't trying to stop him from doing what he wants. His staffers are doing everything he wants, and he's now able to control the world trade structure as a result.
Talk about delusions of grandeur.
Maybe, maybe not. We will find outI don't think roiling markets with threats of trade wars is how to go about fixing it.
sure, they bounce everyday. some days up, some days down. What about them?I tracked just fine. You're the one who doesn't think the "pause" is him blinking. Have you even paid attention to markets?
I heard today that there are 18 countries currently being negotiated and they will announce six a week or something starting the end of this week and the next three.Whereas I believe it is a bone he is throwing to the blue midwest voters and he won't wreck the economy over it. But no doubt whatever he ends up doing, he'll declare victory and you'll buy it (just like you are buying he isn't blinking) but in the end it will make no material difference whatsoever to manufacturing jobs in the US.
We will indeed. My money is on the fundamental economic principle of supply, demand and price and human nature. Anything which drastically increases prices will be met with angst by the populace.Maybe, maybe not. We will find out
That's great. But until China stops pegging their currency to the dollar does anything really compare wrt to trade deficits? Have you been watching the markets? What do you think the markets are saying?I heard today that there are 18 countries currently being negotiated and they will announce six a week or something starting the end of this week and the next three.

he is? where? Name a city affected. No, he is mismanaging the economy and pursuing American civilians.
What about them? You think the ups and downs are unrelated to what's going on with tariffs? You can't figure out why the market went down and then why the market went back up? I'm guessing you don't have a lot of wealth in the market.sure, they bounce everyday. some days up, some days down. What about them?
when the fk did that happen? post the link!!Like suspending the consitutuion? How convenient. Trump is doing the very thing democrats feared he would.
Yep. They are protesting today against the regime. Xi is going to have to fold soon. His people ain't liking what he's doing. They closing plants.I know how bad it is in China. I got a buddy with a carbon black plant there. Their economy is on edge and social unrest is high. He doesn't feel as safe over there as he once did. Crime is becoming an issue.
The full force of the scare mongering media has been in play for over a month now due to all this. Enough to explode the heads of most Democrats due to their stupidity. Trump is an amazing troll LOL, best in the business. We will indeed. My money is on the fundamental economic principle of supply, demand and price and human nature. Anything which drastically increases prices will be met with angst by the populace.
