Trump will announce end of birthright citizenship for children of illegal immigrants, officials say

Democrats don’t want the US to flourish. That is rather obvious.
The tax base of the US must increase and the citizens of the US are not producing enough humans to expand this tax base.

Yeah, going on the simple text of the Constitution seems weird to Republicans. What's the point of having words if you can't make them mean what you want?

“subject to the jurisdiction”…did you forget that part?

Right, but laws are open to interpretation. The Supreme Court should take up the case and interpret the 14th, specifically, “subject to the jurisdiction”. The intent was to exclude certain groups, including foreign diplomats. Visitors, illegal or not, should fall into those exclusions.
If illegals aren’t subject to our jurisdiction, then we can’t prosecute them for crimes committed in this country.

If we can “reinterpret” anything we want any way we want, then there’s no point in having laws.

So then we should just open our borders and accept everyone, regardless of merit? What could go wrong?

We’ll see

It does put the globalists on the defense for a change

The globalists? Are those the one supporting a South African running the country?

What Supreme Court decision did the 14th Amendment overturn?

The decision of Scott v. Sandford, considered by many legal scholars to be the worst ever rendered by the Supreme Court, was overturned by the 13th and 14th amendments to the Constitution, which abolished slavery and declared all persons born in the United States to be citizens of the United States.Jul 8, 2024

No indeed but it moves the ball forward. It makes sane Americans wonder why we are the only nation in the world that lets illegals sneak in to have babies and then get all the benefits of parenting a "citizen".
We are the only nation in the world that allows pregnant women who come on a birthing tour, run to the nearest ER have an American citizen baby absolutely free and go home. Once those citizen babies grow up, they can come here for their rights.

Sanctuary cities have proven that clearly they aren’t fully subject to the jurisdiction.

My point is that Democrats are always on the wrong side of the argument, unless their intent is to destroy the US. Years of indoctrination has created a few generations of US haters. All part of our enemies long term strategy to destroy us from within.
Yeah.

What a load.

Of course, unless the US is a brutal Hobbesian nightmare, in which case you may have a point.

Does the constitution say “fully” subject to jurisdiction?

Just by you. It's all good though as it's pretty meaningless.
We are never going to agree

Which is why trump should use every lever of power at his command and damn the objections

The same thing happened to the US before the Civil War.

Are you saying we should open our borders to the world? 1/2 of poor Africa could come here and we would potentially triple our tax base. Why not do that?

It doesn’t need to.

If I say you need to be a law abiding citizen, I don’t have to qualify that with fully.

I'm sure he will do his best to waste the people's and the courts time.

If only they wanted to come here. Didn't yer relations move here?
