I might suggest that the lies and narrative promoted by some politicians who had this armed man believing such threats were real are more responsible.
These career politicians have always cared more about power than anything else. Trump has been viewed as a threat to their power, nothing more or less. So they promote conspiracies about Russia, Trump attacking a Secret Service agent, people feeling irrationally so concerned about their safety that they go to great lengths to lie about Trump supporters, such as that which Jussie Smollett engaged in, with willing blind support by some media and politicians.
Therefore, this guy who has a gun, is behind a door and among many others with guns was illogically so petrified that he decided to shoot an unarmed woman. It's akin to a person afraid of dogs simply because he has been told to be afraid of them.
Now, the actions of those in the Capitol were not acceptable, but, to respond as this man did and for the politicians to cover up and hide his identity illustrates something, doesn't it?
