Again that's from the movies. Polices are trained never, EVER fire a "warning shot".
You are expelling a lethal bullet from the firearm. With a "Warning Shot" that bullet can hit an innocent bystander, go through a wall for ceiling again striking someone.
If you are going to discharge a firearm, it is the application of lethal force. Not a warning.
