Trump Was a Mistake

Meh, why most of you idiots (on both sides) choose to live in the past is beyond me.

Hey you dumb shits, Trump has not been POTUS for near two fuckin' years.

DeSantis will never grow the balls to challenge Trump directly. He understands that completely and rests his future prospects on the elimination of Trump from the running.

But then, will he just end up disappointed in that with Trump's fall, Trumpism falls with him?

This good ol boy is still a longshot!

I don't know if Trump enriched himself, but, he also helped enrich American workers in the process while demanding allies get smart (some didn't listen, now look at their plights a couple of years later).

If he enriched himself he should be held accountable, it is peanuts compared to career politicians who have done so for 30+ years, without employing anyone other than their family and nary a peep from the media.

This angers them the most "YOU are not a member of this exclusive club, be gone subject!"

As a former POTUS with 4 years of HUGE wins under his belt. A tested POTUS with a demonstrated ability to fight off the Dem lowlifes and Fake News, the GOP nomination will be his if he wants it.

You better hope not.

The loser would lose WORSE than the first time. As it stands now AOC would beat his ass

Yes. He does. Unfortunately, it isn’t the job he was hired for.

It’s his own fault his attempts at self enrichment via the government didn’t work out as planned but his daughter did get some Chinese trademarks, his son in law got a Saudi bailout and he charged the US government many times the normal rate for his hotels.

Issuing trademarks is not a special favor from the government. It's standard procedure for all businesses. Pretending there's something corrupt about it is just another prog scam.

Trump Was a Mistake

The success of Donald Trump’s presidency dealt establishment politicians a heavy blow. A second Trump term might kill them—and they know it.
19 Dec 2022 ~~ By Dan Gelernter

You’ll notice a striking difference between election news coverage now and the leadup to the 2016 presidential primaries: The mainstream media have hardly breathed a word about Donald Trump (except to say that he’s not doing well in their “polls” and so obviously voters must want him out of the race). Back when Trump was making his run for the nomination in 2015, the newspapers couldn’t keep him off their front pages. He got hours of coverage on every news network every day.
But that was back when most Republicans (myself included) didn’t consider Trump a serious candidate. The media decided he would be a wonderful candidate from the Democrats’ perspective and selected him as most likely to lose to Hillary Clinton. So they gave him all the free coverage he could handle. Once the establishment realized that Trump was connecting with and inspiring millions of Americans (myself included), it was too late to stop him.
But the papers and TV shows and social sites have learned their lesson this time around: People love hearing about Trump, and he loves talking. Media attention is his oxygen. So now they won’t give him any. Prepare yourselves to hear hardly a whisper about Trump for the next year or two—except for portentous statements offered by pompous talking heads who will say he needs to drop out now “for the good of the party.” Whose party do you suppose they mean?

Trump was a huge mistake: He was the biggest mistake machine politicians had made in over a century. The success of Trump’s presidency dealt establishment politicians a heavy blow. A second Trump term might kill them, and they know it.
So, be prepared to hear nothing about Trump’s candidacy, nothing about his massive rallies, nothing about the unwavering enthusiasm of his supporters. Be prepared to hear only one thing: That the “people” don’t want him. But don’t believe it. Remember which people are doing the talking.

Commentary:
Indeed, the GOP never meant for Trump to win the 2016 election.
All you have to do is to look at the two previous picks to compete against Obama. McCain and Romney. Both candidates were dipped RINO politicians.
Trump takes his job seriously and that is why those in political power fear him.
What previous president as ever accepted te job and came away lesser the richer.
The only other president that come mind is Ulysses S. Grant.

Very well said.

It's been quite illuminating to see how many clapping seals quickly returned to the shelter of their media matrix to throw back on their shackles - kinda like the COVID sheep still wearing their masks in public without a shred of embarrassment.

Some people will just always be the useful idiots of those who would enslave us all.

You are absolutely correct thst the GOP didn’t want Trump to win in 2016. The PEOPLE wanted Trump as a protest against the candidates we’d gotten in 2008/2012, and the other 15 Centrist/RINO morons who were on stage with Trump.

Many of those who voted for Trump in the Primary simply saw it as a warning shot to the party that it needed to return to Conservative and Traditionalist principles. Unfortunately the party still hasn’t learned that lesson and it has created a major schism in the party.

Trump was supposed to be the response to decades of Republicans lying to their voters.

It didn't turn out so well

So Trump ran for President in order to enrich himself?
Absolutely he did. To enrich his brand, as that was the only thing making any money for him. He sure did. Everyone knows it. He did not even expect to win. He has no desire to govern.

What he was really intended to be was a wake-up call to the party leadership. Instead of waking up and heeding the message, the party has doubled down on its centrist, pseudo-liberal mentality and split the party in twain.

A party with a singular identity and ideology cannot have both Marjorie Taylor Green AND Susan Collins among its membership. It doesn’t work. A party with a proper identity and ideology cannot have either of them in it.

Trump was not a mistake because he poses a threat to Establishment politicians...

Trump was a mistake because he is a destructive and divisive force and is someone entirely unfit for high office or the sacred trust placed in such officials.
