Trump Was a Mistake

Trump Was a Mistake

The success of Donald Trump’s presidency dealt establishment politicians a heavy blow. A second Trump term might kill them—and they know it.

You’ll notice a striking difference between election news coverage now and the leadup to the 2016 presidential primaries: The mainstream media have hardly breathed a word about Donald Trump (except to say that he’s not doing well in their “polls” and so obviously voters must want him out of the race). Back when Trump was making his run for the nomination in 2015, the newspapers couldn’t keep him off their front pages. He got hours of coverage on every news network every day.
But that was back when most Republicans (myself included) didn’t consider Trump a serious candidate. The media decided he would be a wonderful candidate from the Democrats’ perspective and selected him as most likely to lose to Hillary Clinton. So they gave him all the free coverage he could handle. Once the establishment realized that Trump was connecting with and inspiring millions of Americans (myself included), it was too late to stop him.
But the papers and TV shows and social sites have learned their lesson this time around: People love hearing about Trump, and he loves talking. Media attention is his oxygen. So now they won’t give him any. Prepare yourselves to hear hardly a whisper about Trump for the next year or two—except for portentous statements offered by pompous talking heads who will say he needs to drop out now “for the good of the party.” Whose party do you suppose they mean?

Trump was a huge mistake: He was the biggest mistake machine politicians had made in over a century. The success of Trump’s presidency dealt establishment politicians a heavy blow. A second Trump term might kill them, and they know it.
So, be prepared to hear nothing about Trump’s candidacy, nothing about his massive rallies, nothing about the unwavering enthusiasm of his supporters. Be prepared to hear only one thing: That the “people” don’t want him. But don’t believe it. Remember which people are doing the talking.

Commentary:
Indeed, the GOP never meant for Trump to win the 2016 election.
All you have to do is to look at the two previous picks to compete against Obama. McCain and Romney. Both candidates were dipped RINO politicians.
Trump takes his job seriously and that is why those in political power fear him.
What previous president as ever accepted te job and came away lesser the richer.
The only other president that comes to mind is Ulysses S. Grant.
Cult is gonna cult

You are absolutely correct thst the GOP didn’t want Trump to win in 2016. The PEOPLE wanted Trump as a protest against the candidates we’d gotten in 2008/2012, and the other 15 Centrist/RINO morons who were on stage with Trump.

The people said no to Trump. Loudly and clearly. He never won a majority of Republican voters in the primaries, and he lost the popular vote by 2 million votes. The people are blameless in this disaster.

The problem was that because the GOP had "Winner takes all" rules in the primaries, Trump was able to win all the delegates with only about 33% of the vote or less.

The inability of Republicans to rally behind a single alternative was also the problem.

Many of those who voted for Trump in the Primary simply saw it as a warning shot to the party that it needed to return to Conservative and Traditionalist principles. Unfortunately the party still hasn’t learned that lesson and it has created a major schism in the party.

Quite the contrary, The Orange Cult abandoned "conservative principles".

Fiscal Conservatives supported adding 8 Trillion to the national debt.
Security Conservatives undermined NATO
Religious Conservatives had to excuse a guy who cheated on all three of his wives, and paid a porn star for sex.

Trump was a national embarrassment, and anyone associated with that criminal enterprise, owes the country an apology, especially the families of US service members killed in the line of duty.

I think its nice that a horribly senile man like biden got elected......he is destroying the democrat party with his incredible level of fail

…and Republicans, even when claiming they don’t like Trump or didn’t vote for him still can’t stop making Excuses for him. So many useful idiots.
Sometimes things that happened were not his fault just like things that happen under Biden watch are sometimes not his fault, so sometimes excuses can be made but the partisans will have none of that!

Merry Christmas 🎁 my friend and peace ☮️.

It should be “winner takes all”. The party pukes don’t like that because it meant they couldn’t roll out their clown car full of candidates who were essentially the same, ideologically, and pretend they were giving the voters a choice when they really weren’t.

If the party had provided a singular, ideological conservative candidate maybe Trump wouldn’t have been such a popular alternative. That, or if they’d run a single quasi-Progressive sack of feces and called him a conservative, they might have bluffed their way past Trump. They didn’t do either and so many felt Trump was the better option.

The only difference between Trump and the rest of the GOP field was that he was willing to be more open in his racism. That has nothing to do with "conservatism".

The success of Donald Trump’s presidency

One term presidency.
Republicans lost or underperformed in every election since.
Historic recession with WW2 level deficits.
Incited an attack on Congress on the way out.
Twice impeached.
Facing criminal charges.
Rated by historians as one of the worst American Presidents.

...If thats success then what the hell is a disaster?

And also because everything was about him and his own enrichment.
No one truly cares he was a crook because you show me one honest Politician in D.C. and I will sell you Ocean Front Property.

Trump is crooked as the day is long but so is every damn Politician that ever went to Washington!

In the end it was his mouth and how he can never lose unless being cheated and for me the man is just another egotistical narcissistic asshole in life that I wouldn’t vote for if he was the only Choice!

Trump is not a racist. He was tagged as that from the Prog dominated media/entertainers/politicians. He gave it to those who gave it to him. Uncooth is not a crime. The real crime is the legislation passed the last two years among many years. We are spending money on green energy that China will use in manufacturing if it becomes doable. We are destroying ourselves.

It’s his own fault his attempts at self enrichment

Let's see here:

Trump's net worth before taking office 3 billion. After leaving office 2.1 billion.

Bill Clinton before 1.3 million, after 241.5 million

Barak Obama before 1.3 million. After 70 million.
