Obama normalized relations with Cuba and opened up tourism and trade. If Trump had left it alone, they would have opened up an economy that depends on the US.

Now he has cut off their access to oil to make them dependent on US for oil

Only the people in Cuba are poor the communist party steals all the wealth. This is the same in any Communist country. Cuba is about to collapse and if they create democracy trade with America will make the people rich. But first the oppressive government has to go.

Wrong. Trump is not interested in expanding the USA, he is interested in decreasing China's influence and control in our hemisphere. Further, he is interested in decreasing our dependence on China.

GREENLAND - strategic location, military advantage plus great mineral resources.
CANADA - right next door and China has been buying influence there.
CUBA - right off our shore and heavily influenced by China.
PANAMA - China was trying to take over this vital port that the USA built.
VENEZUELA - major corrupt oil exporter/supplier to China.
IRAN - major supplier of oil to China and buyer/seller of military gear, plus world sponsor of terrorism.

Im not saying I support China, but it is an emerging superpower and is going to exert its influence worldwide stage whether we like it or not. Period.

And, to be fair, we’ve supported our fair share of shady dictatorships over the years

Cuba is a hostile country and supports drug sales and terror. They spread communism in Central asnd South America. Thats our business
