So Duke…

What do you think of having to pay significantly higher prices?
Well, it'll even out some and more people will have jobs. Fuel is mostly what's affecting prices right now.
Probably some price fixing going on.

Who really cares about eggs?

The cheapest iPhone 16 model was launched in the U.S. with a sticker price of $799, but could cost as much as $1,142, per calculations based on projections from analysts at Rosenblatt Securities, who say the cost could rise by 43% - if Apple is able to pass that on to consumers.

People will pass on an Egg McMuffin, but take away their IPhone?
Its a lot isnt it. Tariffs are a tax on your own people.Blanket tariffs might save time in implementing but they are indiscriminate and hurt people that you might not want to hurt.
Its a testimony to trump stupidity.

Even if some jobs do come back (best case scenario)
It will take YEARS
Some Americans may get jobs…..but EVERY American will keep paying higher prices

The bulk of apparel and shoes sold in U.S. stores like Walmart and Target is manufactured outside the U.S., with China, Vietnam and Bangladesh among the biggest exporters.
All three nations will face reciprocal tariffs from the Trump administration, at 34% for China, 46% for Vietnam and 37% for Bangladesh.

Ultimately, American consumers could end up paying an additional $2,500 to $5,000 for the lowest-cost American cars, and up to $20,000 for some imported models, according to an April 2 estimate from Anderson Economic Group.

/----/ No tariffs on cars built in America. But you don't care. That doesn't promote your TDS agenda.
BTW:
“Nissan is enhancing the value of two of its most popular models with reduced Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Prices (MSRP) for the 2025 Rogue and 2025 Pathfinder. Pricing reductions across all grades for both models will boost affordability for customers facing a challenging car-buying landscape.”

Rogue SV FWD$29,590 -$1,380
Rogue SL FWD$35,090 -$1,000

When you say more people will have jobs, you mean people overseas?
Because with all the cancelled contracts, you'll have a lot of people who worked for those contractors laid off.
All those cancelled grants, mean more people laid off or fired, because they don't have work for them.

This is economics 101.

They don't mind paying more, as long as it's for a good cause.
They don't mind losing a ton of money in their retirement accounts if it's for a good cause.
They don't mind inflation, recession, economic instability, and businesses going bankrupt if it's for a good cause.

Where is this thread? Well, I can't tell you what I really think here, Ratty, beyond you're a dumbass.

Trumpy promised that it would pay for free IVF. So I salute the US taxpayer.

Maybe talk to the country you have an issue with. And use actual examples rather than made up figures. That sort of thing.
Maybe the problem is they have stuff we want to buy, but we don't make stuff they want to buy.

That's not because of tariffs, but because of simple home economics 101. Shop around for the best price.

Then just post how they're going to create jobs, when so many people in this country have been, or are going to be laid off because of DOGE.
