Plenty of known people far more qualified in the oil and gas industry. He’s not even a known player in corporate governance which is the field of aligning a company’s objectives with the rights and interests of shareholders regardless of the industry. Corporate Governance is a field where I have professional experience; moreso than Hunter Biden.Actually, while not recommended the Ukraine Company got what they wanted by appointing Hunter... They wanted a known person on their board...
Plenty of GOP relatives have done this too..
Actually Hunter was pretty well qualified:
“Well, I was vice chairman on the board of Amtrak for five years. I was the chairman of the board of the UN World Food Programme. I was a lawyer for Boies Schiller Flexner, one of the most prestigious law firms in the world. Bottom line is that I know that I was completely qualified to be on the board to head up the corporate governance and transparency committee on the board. And that’s all that I focused on. Basically, turning an Eastern European independent natural gas company into Western standards of corporate governance.” - Hunter.
This makes him far more qualified than some of the Trump Cabinet picks...
There was no sale but approved an investment they don’t own US SteelNippon Steel plans to invest $14 billion in U.S. Steel's operations including up to $4 billion in a new steel mill if the Trump administration green lights its bid for the iconic U.S. company, according to a document and three people familiar with the matter.
Didn't Trump promise to save USS & MAGA?
He works in compliance and governance...LoL....you miss his comments in a MSM interview where he was asked about his expertise in gas tech?
Pretty sure it was CBS
No problem...Plenty of known people far more qualified in the oil and gas industry. Explain how that works...There was no sale but approved an investment they don’t own US Steel

Trump says Nippon will invest heavily in U.S. Steel rather than purchase the company
"They'll be looking at an investment rather than a purchase," President Donald Trump said at a news conference with Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba.www.cnbc.com
How to invest in a business? Really? WowExplain how that works...
So Nippon are just going to invest in US steel for nothing?
Trump takes more bribes than anyone in US history.
You know investing is another way of saying buying...How to invest in a business? Really? Wow
Investing for beginners | Investing ideas and planning | Fidelity
Investing doesn't have to be complicated. Here's how to get started as a beginner.www.fidelity.com
Sure, buying shares, but when someone invest, they aren't owning the entire company, you idiot. I don't own Apple because I have stock in it, you dumb ****. I don't have a controling interest. You know investing is another way of saying buying...
Are they taking a controlling interest?
Well Nippon is investing $14bn in a company that has a total assets of $20bn....
Let's think about this one...
No thinking needed... Nippon is acquiring US Steel..
"The United Steelworkers (USW) union on Monday ripped U.S. Steel and its proposed acquirer, Nippon Steel, for agreeing to a $15 billion deal without its approval."
I know in MAGA world it is all piles and unicorns but you better leave the real finance to us... Nobody shells $15bn on the table and gets nothing in return... A Japanese company is trying to buy US Steel...
It even has its own wiki page:

The only question to ask is, How much Trump Crypto junk will they have to buy to make this happen?
They are trying to acquire the company...Sure, buying shares, but when someone invest, they aren't owning the entire company, you idiot. I don't own Apple because I have stock in it, you dumb ****. I don't have a controling interest.
Geez, read the link about investment for beginners I sent you.
Of course they want a return on their investment! Geez man. who said they didn't???
Having analyzed 1,000s of Boards of Directors, I can tell you that boards are comprised of two types of directors: 1) Proactive, engaged, relevant expertise and 2) Passive, little relevant experience, token hire for political and/or goodwill purposes. No problem...
Can you give us a list of the board of directors that you have been on... Hunter was on Amtrak for 5 years and they have revenue of $2.5bn a year....
I presume you have been on a board of that size?
The Ukrainian company wanted a well known name in from the US with a history of being on boards... The Biden name is Ukraine was linked to getting rid of a highly corrupt Prosecutor General who had a list of organisations that wanted him fired including the Republican led Senate committee...
"On 16 March 2016 an official of the prosecution office stated that Shokin had resumed his work. On the same day, his office carried out a raid against one of Ukraine's leading anti-corruption groups, the Anti-Corruption Action Center (AntAC), claiming that it had misappropriated aid money. AntAC was a frequent critic of the Prosecutor General's Office under Shokin. In one notorious case, two of Shokin's prosecutors were caught with stashes of diamonds, cash and valuables in their homes, likely indicating bribery. Prosecutors from another department of Shokin's office were fired or reassigned when they attempted to bring a prosecution against the so-called "diamond prosecutors""

The Broken Shokin theory
Anti-corruption activists around the world opposed the Ukrainian Prosecutor General precisely to fight corruption, not to help Hunter Bidenmikepesca.substack.com
So Hunter was hired as the second type... So have many other political family members used their family name...Having analyzed 1,000s of Boards of Directors, I can tell you that boards are comprised of two types of directors: 1) Proactive, engaged, relevant expertise and 2) Passive, little relevant experience, token hire for political and/or goodwill purposes.
You bragged about Hunter being on the Board of AMTRAK and conflated that with AMTRAK making $2.5B annually? What Board subcommittee on AMTRAK did Hunter lead and what actions do it take towards AMTRAK’s success?
Then, you laid out the challenge Burisma was having legally and showed exactly why Hunter Biden fits the criteria of the type of Board member I described that is a token political hire. His Dad got him that gig and then directed his political and legal resources to help the company.
You keep trying to prop up Hunter Biden’s accomplishments in the Boardroom and you come up empty. AMTRAK and Burisma Board seats were clearly handed to him because of who is Dad is. What Board seats has Hunter Biden earned on his own? What has he accomplished?
It was a Sopranos job.He works in compliance and governance...
I’m willing to bet that if a Board seat came down to Condoleeza Rice and Hunter Biden, qualifications, relevant experience, and professional accomplishment criteria would kick in and she would be chosen over Hunter Biden. As you accepted, Hunter Biden is the passive type of board member. That’s it.So Hunter was hired as the second type... So have many other political family members used their family name...
Bushes are on how many boards?
Trump picked half his family in the government... Sorry but MAGA are the last who can accuse people of nepotism...
Hunter has a long history of being on Boards and Burisma wanted him on their board... As you described above, that is the difference between executive board members and non executive board members...
Hunter joined the board as a non-executive director, meaning he was an independent board member and not a member of the management team... He is not there as active member of the management team..
Hunter Biden, son of former U.S. President Joe Biden, was appointed to the Amtrak Reform Board by President George W. Bush in 2006. He served as a member of the board for a five-year term. He was also the board's vice chairman from July 2006 until January 2009, when he was replaced
So George W Bush got him that gig..
He does get these jobs because his name is recognised. It is like branding... The Biden name is a good name to have on your board for investors, it gives assurance that thinks are being done with reasonable amount of oversight...
You don't like it.. But that is how investors like it... Even Bush saw the value of having a prominent relative of a Democrat on the board of Amtrak... Hard to get accused of covering up stuff when you put one of their team on the board...
This is how it works... The Biden, Obama, Clinton, Bush, Reagan, Kennedy,.... names carry weight with investors... Look a Condoleezza "Condi" Rice.
Condoleezza Rice, former United States Secretary of State, has served on the boards of various organizations, including the Millennium Challenge Corporation. She also chairs the Board of Directors for Dropbox and Makena Capital Management, LLC. Her previous board positions include the Carnegie Corporation, the Charles Schwab Corporation, the Transamerica Corporation, and others. Additionally, she was on the board of Hewlett-Packard and the Rand Corporation.
What does Condi Rice know about Hewlett-Packard business? Seriously... She is there because investors know the name and trust her.
Hunter is a Aldi version of Condi Rice... That is why he costs only $85k...It was a Sopranos job.
They were, and trump stopped themThey are trying to acquire the company...
What do you think they are asking for there investment?
Why do you think Trump would have to approve an 'investment'? Trump has to approve the buy...
I have posted tons of links that this is an acquisition, every one is calling it that... Trump has to approve of the acquisition...
Also, think about it... Just basic common sense... Nippon are going to invest $14bn into a company whose total assets of $20bn without controlling the company????
Where the hell two es that make common sense... trying to play stupid isn't really working for you..
Again, this deal is dead unless Nippon buys Trump Crypto or Trump TruthSocial crap shares... The question is, how much?
Condi beats Hunter all day... Condi also costs way more money and perks..I’m willing to bet that if a Board seat came down to Condoleeza Rice and Hunter Biden, qualifications, relevant experience, and professional accomplishment criteria would kick in and she would be chosen over Hunter Biden. As you accepted, Hunter Biden is the passive type of board member. That’s it.
Well yeah, the Sec of State is light years ahead of Hunter and should be earning money. She’s an expert in the field of govt and foreign policyCondi beats Hunter all day... Condi also costs way more money and perks..
Condoleeza earns salaries from several sources in a typical year. Her Stanford University salary is $305,000. She also earns salaries for serving on various company boards. For example, in 2019, she earned $405,000 for serving on the board of Dropbox. Of that income, $105,000 was base salary, and $300,000 was equity. According to the latest regulator filings, she owns at least $4 million worth of Dropbox stock and has sold roughly $1 million worth since being elected to the board.
Condi also serves on the board of CS.ai. Her position at this job pays an additional $200-300,000 per year.
What do you think Condi Rice knows about Dropbox business? Seriously.... She has no Information Technology in her background or experience. She was also on the board of Hewlett Packard too (they paid for her membership to Augusta National Golf)...
What she brings is name recognition and name you can trust... Investors have confidence in her...
Hunter was the Aldi version of that... I say Condi is pretty passive too. But they would look at the accounts and are there as an assurance....
LeftofLeft You can not like Burisma decision (the Obama Admin didn't want him to take the job) but I can see what Burisma wanted legitimately from Hunter. It is very much what Dropbox and HP wanted from Condi..
