So, the FBI is lowering its FBI recruitment standards so that now FBI agents no longer will need a college degree because as we all know we don’t need educated or smart agents working on counter terrorism. I do find it interesting that Kash Patel doesn’t want the FBI to focus on investigating financial fraud or public corruption…gee I wonder why…LOL

It is my understanding that a college degree has never been a requirement to be an FBI agent. You have to be a U.S. citizen, qualify for a top secret-SCI security clearance, pass a background check including financial disclosure. Law enforcement experience usually enters into the equation of who gets hired too.

A college degree these days certainly doesn't indicate that a person is smart, capable, or qualified for most things. I appreciate that people stick to the requirements to graduated, but those requirements have been so watered down that in many cases they no longer indicate that the graduate is competent in his/her field.

Given President Trump's insistence that people be knowledgeable, efficient and effective on the job--DEI crap is out the window purely for that reason--I cannot imagine he would require the FBI to hire less competent people to be agents or in any other aspect of the agency.

The NYT is infamous for its TDS and distorting the actual facts re President Trump and/or others in his administration.

Ten years of enlisted service may, or may not, have anything to do with law enforcement, since that was never the military’s job until Trump started using the National Guard to terrorize American cities.
