You're asking the wrong question Phart. The correct question is "What is the murder rate in Japan, versus the murder rate in the USA?"
The answer is 0.23 per 100,000 of population in Japan, and 6.3 per 100,000 in the USA. The murder rate in the USA is nearly 120 times higher than the murder rate in Japan. 76% of murders in the USA are committed with firearms. Knives are the murder weapon of choice in Japan.
6 out of 10 suicides in the USA, also use guns.

And none of this covers the more than 100,000 people wounded by gunfire, who survive.
The leading cause of death for CHILDREN in the USA, is gun violence.
And still you keep demanding the "right" to own guns.
Wow, what a stupid "argument" from an uggo, low-T (yes, women can suffer from low testosterone, too) Canadian hoser.
Look, when you have guns in a country, of course you are going to have gun-related deaths and violence. So saying "Wah guns have killed this many people since __" or any such variation is stupid. If you really care about innocent people dying from gun violence, what you should do is to screen out the crazies from owning guns. And criminals, gangs, foreign gang-members etc, too. And then I promise you will see much lower gun-related deaths, which you pretend to care about.
And yes, Americans do have the right to own guns. Firstly, it's written in one of their important documents. Secondly, you talk as if you get to decide what right other people can or cannot have. Pray-tell, Dragon-Breath, who the hell do you think you are? If I tell you, in a very condescending manner that you don't have the right to breathe, how would that make you feel? Before you say owning a gun and breathing are different, yes they are, however, the fundamental principle still remains. You don't get to decide for other people what rights they get to have or not (thank god). The fact that you as a little Canadian pissant thinks you can come over here and tell Americans how to run their country tells me how arrogant and out of control the Left is.
Good for you. If you haven't shot anyone in 60 years, what's the point of owning a gun?
It's called deterrence.
Something a Canadian female eunuch will never understand.
I've never owned a gun and have never had need to own a gun.
Because you are low-T and rely on the government to protect you.
You're projecting again, Phart (great user name and so descriptive of your posts). I live independently, and haven't had a "day nurse", since I was in hospital and had my knee replaced 4 years ago. Hope you're in a decent home, at least. I hear some of those places in the USA are really bad.
Canadians love trotting this out. Yes, there are some aspects of US that aren't as good as other Anglo countries, however, overall, I'd say that their country is still one of the best, if not the best, in the world. For one thing, they have freedom of speech (for now). This cannot be found anywhere else on earth. Americans have a reason to be proud of their country. Anytime some non-American tries to criticize America, they should ask themselves why despite all these bad things (bad healthcare, poor care homes...etc etc), everybody still wants to move to the States.
