Manafort evading $45 MILLION in taxes owed which is not some civil offense like skirting your taxes owed by a hundred bucks, he was NOT sentenced to life in prison... something like 8 years total but that was for a multitude of felonies, not just the felonies he went to trial over, but including all of those others that he plead guilty to before his second trial that was scheduled.

Flynn not only lied to the FBI, but he committed several other felonies, of which he was not charged because he agreed to help law enforcement imprison his partners in crime.
