It's not even as complicated as that - Muslims believe in spreading their faith, as Christians do. Unlike Christians, however, they (extremists) believe anyone who does not accept the Muslim faith should / must be killed. Since these same Islamic Extremists have declared they will and ARE infiltrating any and all refugees coming into the US and are killing Americans to further their end - as we have seen by the terrorist Obama allowed into the country murdering 12 Americans in California - it is imperative for us to know who is coming into the country and our right to deny those we assess want to do us harm.

Yes, Obama and Congress identified these seven countries. But they didn't stop people from coming here. Wonder why Trump is, since none of the terrorist attacks in THIS country were done by folks from those countries. Maybe the folks from those countries are already being very carefully scrutinized and that's why no terrorists from those countries have gotten in. In other words, immigration is already doing its job in vetting refugees and visa holders. If Trump wants to add a few questions or check into another avenue to get information, he doesn't have to stop immigration to do it. We do not have a huge flood of evil people entering this country on a daily basis. Who is doing the real panicking here? It's not the left, for once.

I figure any order of this kind will be controversial. The intent behind it, to vet people before they come in, is sound. The current vetting for asylum seekers is pretty extensive, but if the current administration wants to do more of it, so be it.

What concerns me is the ham handedness with which this was implemented. No communication. No interagency consultations. Just an order leaving the agencies trying to figure out (1) what the heck the order says, and (2) how to implement it. The same sort of stupidity we saw with the ACA rollout.

I think it's not a ban first of all. And it is a common sense approach. Do you agree though with the lack of planning with which it was rolled out? Seems to me that he hurts the cause by not preparing sufficiently.
