Which would have been a far better outcome for Ukraine, NATO, and the western alliance.

Dispite your declaration to the contrary, Trump has drawn lines in the sand with Putin, and erased them at every turn.

He insisted on a cease fire ten days ago, but not now.
He endorsed the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
He did his best to hold up Ukranian aid repeatedly.
He is doing it now.

So, you’ll need to explain how Trump is being “masterful”.
