Anyone remember the support that was given to the private group that was going to build some of the border wall, called "We Build the Wall"? Lots of people contributed to it, and it raised a whole bunch of money. And, what did they get for all that contributed cash? 3 miles of border wall that is already falling down. Seems that the private group that built it put it too close to the river, and now erosion is starting to make it come down.

Interestingly enough, many of the people who contributed to it, as well as the people who started the whole thing were Trump supporters. However, now that the wall is getting ready to fall down because of erosion, Trump is saying that the group is trying to make him look bad because they did a shoddy job of building it. Really? Trump supporters are trying to make him look bad?

If any of you on here contributed to "We Build the Wall", be aware that your contribution was in vain, as it is now getting ready to fall down.

HOUSTON — President Donald Trump on Sunday criticized a privately built border wall in South Texas that’s showing signs of erosion months after going up, saying it was “only done to make me look bad,” even though the wall was built after a months-long campaign by his supporters.

The group that raised money online for the wall promoted itself as supporting Trump during a government shutdown that started in December 2018 because Congress wouldn’t fund Trump's demands for a border wall. Called “We Build the Wall,” the group has raised more than $25 million promoting itself as supporting the president.

Former Trump chief strategist Steve Bannon joined the group’s board and Trump ally Kris Kobach became its general counsel. Kobach is now seeking the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate in Kansas.

Standard behavior for someone whose self esteem is a low as Trump's. He's always the victim, someone doesn't like him, he only cares about how he's "treated", everything is about him, if someone isn't nice to him he attacks like a rabid dog.

It sure isn't pleasant seeing someone's personal emotional damage being dragged around out in public like this, let alone that of the occupant of the White House.

Ugly. Embarrassing.

Thank you for the links showing that some idiots on here thought that the private wall was a good idea.

I still find it funny as hell that there were a lot of Trump supporters who thought this was a good idea, and now, it's a failure. Gonna be interesting to see how some on here will try to spin this as a success.

Did Trump hire illegals to build the wall ? Maybe they were forced to do a shoddy job because they could legally only work on one side.

Actually, no. Trump didn't hire illegals to build the wall, it was built from donations by his supporters, and was built by someone who supported him, but like Trump, didn't know what they were supposed to do.

Trump is supported by the best people, right? And, like everything else he supports or does, it becomes a HUUUUUGGGGEEEE failure.

You guys should take one and see if it helps. I almost want Biden to win so you ladies would stop crying about the Bad Bad President.

But Trump gave them $1.7 billion.

Nope. The Wall wasn’t why I voted for Trump. I voted for him because I believed he would be better for the economy and for our military. As far as your first comment, what positive do you garner from your OP? Do tell.

Better for the economy? His handling of the pandemic is less than stellar, which is why the economy is starting to tank. As far as him being better for the military? How do you feel about Russia paying Taliban members to kill our military?

Is private construction of the Wall good or bad? What the hell do lefties want?

Hey, if they could have built it so that it would not fall down, that would have been a decent thing. But, they didn't pay attention to the engineering of a wall and built it too close to the river, which is why erosion is slowly bringing it down.

If they had built something that would stand, it wouldn't be an issue, but they didn't, and now it's fixing to fall down. Too bad a lot of conservatives wasted their money donating to them. And, it's only 3 miles long? Not quite enough to stop all the illegals you guys are constantly screaming about.

People chipped in to take a stand about illegal immigration when congress seemed reluctant to act. The money apparently went into local construction companies so it wasn't a total loss.

Wasn't a total loss? Really? How do you figure? Granted, some people might have gotten paid to do the job, but the fact that it's slowly eroding and the built section is going to fall down doesn't really qualify as a "win". Face it, if you contributed to this group, you wasted your money.

I don't understand the point of the outrage? Should conservative donors have waited for the government to build the border barricade? Sure but it doesn't make them bad people.
