Trump says EO coming to address farmer, hospitality labor after he said he's been told that taking many of their workers has caused issues

You asked XponentialChaos - not me.

But I'm happy to answer. I'm a libertarian, so in general I'm for less government meddling. But I've also come to appreciate consensus government. This crap where we slam through a bunch of changes because one of the shit parties gets 50%+ of the vote and we call it a "mandate" - is pointless. Without real leaders building real support for their policies, all we get is temporary token changes. The other side simply waits for their turn when they'll come in and rip it all and push things in the other direction. Wash rinse repeat.
You are correct that divided government sucks

Particularly when dems are one of the halves

Nope. Want to pick something, apply for a work visa with XXXX farm, in fact we'll even pay to fly you home to apply. If farmer XXXX needs you, you can come and pick.
America first, and if we need more pickers, apply. It's worked for as long as we have had farms, with no invasion necessary...
Democrats involved in the intentional collapse of America pass laws making it very difficult to employ Americans then hire illegals to avoid the laws they pass on Americans.

Democrats = traitors

What do you want?
I think we’re mostly in agreement. We’re both ok with allowing illegal immigrants to stay here to work. They’re not bothering me and we like cheap costs.

I’ve long argued that neither side is serious about getting rid of them. “Build the wall” was a ridiculously stupid idea that didn’t fix the issue.

I’ve argued that if either side is serious about addressing this (they aren’t) then they need to go after employers who willingly hire illegal immigrants. But they won’t do that and now we can see why - because you guys want to allow them to work here.

From “deport them all” to “allow them to stay”.

A gentle breeze changes their perspective.
H2A and H2B visas are allowed by immigration law.

Thing is the illegal "working for 20 years" has an equally illegal family by now if you discount birthright citizenship.

You normal H2B/H2B Visa is for that person only and they go back, not stay.

The H-2B program allows U.S. employers or U.S. agents who meet specific regulatory requirements to bring foreign nationals to the United States to fill temporary nonagricultural jobs. A U.S. employer, or U.S. employer, or U.S. agent as described in the regulations, must file Form I-129, Petition for a Nonimmigrant Worker, on a prospective worker’s behalf.

The H-2A Temporary Agricultural Worker Visa allows foreign nationals to work temporarily in the U.S. agricultural sector. Here are key points about the visa:

So...you want the illegal immigrant to be allowed to stay in the country to work.

From “deport them all” to “allow them to stay”.

If they have went back to their country of origin and obtained, through sponsorship/state dept vetting, a H2A or B visa then sure....That's why the system was established.

Jeez.....Are you thick-headed or something?

They can already do that.

What special privilege do they get for being farm or hotel workers?

In fact I think we agree on almost nothing

If farmers need foreign labor because Americans can no longer do manual labor at any price then I have to accept that

But only after we have rousted all the lazy bums off welfare

Building the wall has been a big help and its still only half finished

It not only hinders migrants but slows drug trafficking and other unwelcome activity

As for employers I think most are willing to hire Americans snd even pay them more as long as everyone has to

For the few who just want to cheat we can punish them appropriately

Supposedly those are the workers needed.....Are you that obtuse?

ob·tuse
[əbˈto͞os, äbˈto͞os]

  1. annoyingly slow to understand; dull-witted:

Do I need to spell this out for you?

They’re already able to apply for those visas. Those programs already exist. So what special protections is Orange Jesus going to give them?

Furthermore, why is he rewarding people for breaking the law?

Trump is now turning on MAGA. He's feeling the pressure from agriculture and big business who are losing their labor force due to the crackdown on illegal immigration.

"You go into a farm and you look, and people have been there 20, 25 years and they worked great and the owner of the farm loves them and everything else and then you're supposed to throw them out and then you know what happens? They end up hiring the people, the criminals that have come in, the murderers from prison, so everything else...."

Latest approval 38%.

In short, do you support the deportation of illegal aliens who are only guilty of immigration offenses?

Everyone who is in America illegally is subject to deportation

But criminals are the priority for removal

Everyone else only incidentally
Like children, the state senator of California, a deputy US marshal. Do you people need to borrow my glasses to see the bullshit being spewed?

Do you ever stop the diarrhea of the mouth or spewing lies and perjorative nonsense? You sound worse than those whiney ass Nam protestors.

It is expanded to include Hospitality Workers
Mar A Lago needs cheap labor

"Our great Farmers and people in the Hotel and Leisure business have been stating that our very aggressive policy on immigration is taking very good, long time workers away from them, with those jobs being almost impossible to replace," Trump wrote on the social media platform he owns.
