President Donald Trump on Sunday announced that a dividend payment of "at least" $2,000 would be paid to most Americans from US tariff revenues.

In a post on Truth Social, he wrote: "We are taking in Trillions of Dollars and will soon begin paying down our ENORMOUS DEBT, $37 Trillion."

"A dividend of at least $2000 a person (not including high income people!) will be paid to everyone."

Gonna have to go with "not sure this is a good idea".....It should only be given out to taxpayers.

If deadbeats are gonna get it then I say use it to help pay down the National Debt.

What will likely happen is that the administration will have to send half or more of the tariff revenue back to the companies who wrote the checks.

So the net result will just be that the companies were able to gouge American consumers for additional profit.

Actually this could put pressure on certain governments to take another look at the way that President Abraham Lincoln saved USA taxpayers four billion dollars in interest payments? There are ways that any government can figure out ways to assist companies to be able to pay those tariffs.

Materials for us were already loaded and semi-processed. But here is the deal. Everyone has cost going up so, just like Covid, everyone is raising prices. Just like covid, you’ll see it in a year from the initial hit. The consumer will pay almost 100% in the long run.
