Please don't mention taxing the rich, who have profited hugely from their opportunities in the US, and bear no responsibility whatsoever for its general welfare.

No, there is absolutely no need to mention that. The top one percent of earners already pay 40% of the nation's income tax revenue.

Obviously they are more than meeting their responsibility to the general welfare of the united states. If they paid zero income taxes, they would still be contributing far more to that general welfare than the typical middle class earner, who pays a few thousand a year in income tax.

They buy large products such as houses, cars, home appliances as well as
Toys and gadgets such as four wheelers, boats, electronics, et. All of that creates manufacturing jobs.

Sad that our policies have chased those jobs overseas. We need a series of presidents like donald trump, to bring those jobs back. We don't need to tax those job creators so that they have to pay 80%. Instead of forty percent, because that will kill the golden goose.
