The only Godless I can see are MAGA types that build golden idols to Trump and then bend over backwards when he mocks Christianity.

This discussion is not some great theological argument. It is simply whether it is acceptable for a President to suggest he is Jesus or Jesus-like. In so doing Trump is mocking the religion not implicitly but overtly. Too bad some are too blinded by the cult of Trump to see it.

You see, politics is tribalism and factionalism. It's pretty toxic and the controls have been slipping for a while now.
You'd think it's about the issues..but it's not---it's about feeling like you belong and are on the winning side.

I agree that this place is draining. I currently have a border-line stalker who constantly posts at me in the nastiest way, every chance she gets, even though I've told her in the past that I put her on my unofficial ignore. I guess one-way conversations are OK with her. I know some people here who I disagree with have good intentions....and I'm OK with them, even though we have strong disagreements.
