Trump posts image of himself as Jesuschrist

Funny that you don't ask 'rightwinger' if he's ever agreed with anything Trump said or did on here. Why is that?
Good question

Things I agreed with about Trump

He kept us out of wars…..until he didn’t
Cutting back our support of NATO
Getting rid of the penny

Hate is not reasonable. I prefer the words Disdain or contemptible that would indicate you used reason in coming to your conclusion about trump. I have held trump in contempt since 1972.
Hate is reasonable, an ex-wife will do that too.
Trump came to Florida in 1985.
1972?
Did you grow up in NY?
People from NY told me things.

But the difference in this case is that it was obama supporters comparing him to Jesus

It's one thing to compare yourself or somebody else with Jesus. Trump is hated by the democrats because he won't put up with them wrecking our country, but actually claiming to be Jesus and lying about it afterwards is crossing the line.

Is there such a thing as self idolatry?

YES. Trump does it all of the time.

I don't care about the image but no one should ever exalt themselves as Jesus. Thats blasphemous. I wouldnt want to be standing near that person. He's not a christian though so he has no clue about blasphemy.

Even if you're not a Christian claiming to be perfect and holy like Jesus Christ is frowned upon.

How does Trump’s troll post help make America great? Curious.

It doesn't.

How do you know?

No one knows the time of his return.

Trump is a great president but he's NOTHING like Jesus Christ.

I don't know anyone who "follows" him. We SUPPORT him

Well I support him as president but not his behavior.

Trump is mocking religion. Openly.

Exactly! You never see anybody mocking Islam.

Some of you have this story entirely wrong. It's not the lefties who were outraged. It's Christians and Catholics. Either you guys don't use social media much, or you must have an entirely different newsfeed than mine, because yesterday on both my X and Instagram newsfeeds, it was nonstop filled with CHRISTIANS denouncing his post. Not lefties!

Here are just a few examples:

The first guy I believed was Charlie Kirk at first so I was really confused. Lol it looks like his doppelganger. Anyways, blasphemy against the Son of Man isn't unforgivable, but only if Trump repents and I don't see that happening. I worry about his soul.
If anyone is "upset" about it then frankly they're upset that Kamala LOST!! HENCE i DON'T GIVE A DAMN.

I'm upset about it and I'm a Trump supporter who voted for him and I can't stand Kamala.

He never claimed to be. Posting a meme of healing someone is hardly claiming to be Jesus. Is it Christ like? Yes, but we are called to be Christ like.

It’s just a meme of him healing the country.

We are called to be Christlike. We aren't called to actually be Christ. There's a difference there.

Also not only does Trump claim that he's equal to Jesus, but then he posts this on Easter/Resurrection Sunday. I don't like Iran either, but is this post really all that necessary?

As I said, a man in a robe healing isn’t Jesus, but is Christ like. No crown of thorns, no holes in his hand.

But people like to cry about everything today.

Okay let's say for the sake of argument that you're right. Then why didn't he just say that that's what it was instead of the absurd claim that he was supposed to be a doctor?

Heheh, that guy does look like Charlie, sorry for the momentary scare. Good to see you back here, btw! I agree with your take on this. I absolutely agree with you that if he would've just been humble and honest about it, that would've helped matters a lot, but to blatantly lie and gaslight everyone is insane imo and further confirms what some of us have been saying about him all along.

The evangelical base decrying Trump’s social media post as blasphemous has only itself to blame

According to the Book of Acts, the Bible’s account of the first days of the church, Herod Agrippa I, king of Judea, gave a public address that prompted those listening to say, “This is the voice of a god, not of a man.” And because the king didn’t reject that blasphemous praise, “an angel of the Lord struck him down, and he was eaten by worms and died.”

It’s doubtful that President Donald Trump, who has seemed far more interested in putting his name on the Bible than reading it, knows of that biblical cautionary tale. If Trump knew the story and believed it had meaning, then he wouldn’t have dared share a meme Sunday night appearing to portray him as Jesus Christ.

I wonder how many evangelicals are asking themselves how they could have been duped by the orange piece of shit?
Don't include me. I'll care when you condemn THIS blasphemy

Because maybe that is just what he thought it looked like. I think all he thought of was that he is healing America.
