The 'truth'? Saying what you think it represents is OPINION, not truth. It may be your 'truth', but that doesn't make it so for anyone other than you. You can dislike/hate Trump all you want, but you don't get to make up your own reality.

And there's the ego that allows you to decide what is 'truth' for everyone else, you think that because your 'respect' for somone went 'up a few notches' that should be like some kind of a 'good boy' pat on the head for them? It's actually a very condescending statement.

I don't take them seriously quite frankly. It's NOT about picking a side; it's about picking POLICIES!!! That picture was quite sweet in a way; why anyone would take it as blasphemy is beyond me. Just not liking it is a different issue. To make an issue of it is just political.

Maybe he meant the policies that he ran on? I mean, I agreed with nearly all of Trump's policies that he campaigned on. The problem is, like you said, Campaign Trump is a very different person than president Trump. And I don't know anyone who wanted more war, more big spending, more debt, more coverups instead of arrests, more authoritarianism, more unconstitutional Orwellian legislation, another mRNA vaccine, and on and on.

In 2016 when I was looking at the policies of the candidates it was obvious to me that Trump's policies were stock standard conservative much like all the others. Not really much different. He also busted his boiler to get them done though I did find that he did have some limitations on success because of circumstances beyond his control. What I like about Trump this time is that he has learnt to bulldoze through them.

And I find the picture to be a complete nothing. Looking at those influencers you posted back when just showed a weird collection. Meh.

No, I don't want him eliminated. It wouldn't matter anyway. As I've said many times before, my view is that presidents these days are basically just puppets or spokespeople for the oligarchs. If Trump is removed, another one will just take his place. I no longer have any faith in the system overall....which is why I haven't voted since 2012.

The picture (posted on Orthodox Easter) is just one thing. If it was just one thing alone, then I could understand your POV. But the reality is, he puts incredibly immature, outrageous, purposely combative and insulting stuff out there ALL the flippin time. If he's not bashing Massie, or MTG, or other America first conservatives who have held him accountable, then he's picking fights with other people. Now it's Megyn Kelley, Alex Jones, the pope, and even Riley Gaines, who has been an extremely staunch Trump supporter.

But it's not just him bashing people in tweets (something we'd expect from a 14 year old troll, not the President of the United States.) He has put other weird God-complex stuff out there in the past. If you need examples, I'll take the time to round them up for you. But it seems to me that some of you either don't notice any of it.... or you do know about it but you turn a blind eye.

So, getting back to this recent picture....It's likely a cumulative thing. I think many Christians who supported him have noticed all the other crap, but finally drew the line at what they consider to be blasphemy.

I have a question for you and please answer honestly. If Biden had posted a picture of himself as Jesus, with supernatural beams of light coming out of his hands, and with a demonic looking figure hovering in the sky behind him.... do you think conservatives would say it's blasphemous, or say "nothing to see here folks." ?

He's the one who needs to get a thicker skin.

There's a difference between unwarranted criticism, and legitimate criticism or holding someone accountable to their own words. When people like Massie, MTG or others have done the latter, he has lashed out angrily, mocked and attacked them, tried to character assassinate them, and acted like an immature thin-skinned bully instead of a normal, decent grown-up.

And even IF one of those people had criticized him in an unwarranted way (which is not the case) even then, imo it's not cool for any leader to react like a nasty bully with personal attacks, even attacking family members, and doing leftist tactics like "canceling." It's become clear that he wants 100% loyalty to HIM (rather than to principles or truth) even when he does something clearly wrong. And anyone who dares to ever speak up about the emperor being naked is forever canceled and put on his ever-growing enemy list.

But anyway, I've already spent too much time on this topic. I know that he won't change (no one truly changes in a radical unless they get saved and born spiritually)...And I know you won't like me saying this since you're such a staunch Trumper, but the good news is that the more his true colors show, the more people are waking up and realizing that he's not the man they thought he was, and not what he portrayed himself to be. I've been saying from the start that he's controlled opposition. And now some of the very same people who bashed me on this site for saying that have realized that, and jumped off the Trump train. Which is kinda funny to me, but anyway... nuff said.

I didn't follow those accounts way back then, when Obama was president. But I do distinctly remember many Christians in general pointing out the craziness and weirdness of all that Obama Savior imagery. I remember talking about it back in the day on other forums I used to post on. I might have even blogged about how weird that was.

Here's the thing though. As far as I know, Obama never posted those Savior images himself. It was OTHER people posting it, like the MSM, etc. In this case, Trump HIMSELF posted Savior imagery, and on more than one occasion. And called himself "the chosen one" and stuff like that. Out of HIS own mouth, not other people's mouths.
