Daniel Dale on Wednesday broke down why
Donald Trump simply can’t be trusted when it comes to his bombastic spin on inflation, grocery prices or affordability.
The president has repeatedly downplayed — and at times flat-out dismissed — the cost-of-living crisis, falsely insisting that prices are “way down” substantially under his administration.
But most of “Trump’s claims about prices these days are just not true,” Dale said on “News Central.”
“None of that is true,” Dale responded to one montage of Trump’s declarations.
Prices have increased during Trump’s second term and that inflation has risen every month. As for Trump’s claim that gas prices have “plummeted,” Dale corrected the record to note they are roughly the same as a year ago.
Trump's advisors tell him it's a bad idea to deny reality.
Prices are down Trump said. Substantially.
Everyone knows things are less expensive under Trump he said.
None of that is true. So why should I believe you or the liar you defend?
