Justice Department prosecutors in Virginia believe they have not gathered enough evidence to indict Letitia James, the New York Attorney General and long term adversary of President Donald Trump, for mortgage fraud, according to a source familiar with the matter and another person briefed on the matter.

The five-month investigation has featured interviews with dozens of witnesses, the source said, cautioning that the investigation is still ongoing.

The US Attorney’s office for the Eastern District of Virginia declined to comment.

Trump has urged DOJ officials to investigate James aggressively. The president has privately and angrily complained about James even months into taking office, multiple sources familiar with the conversations told CNN.

If crimes are committed it is the job of the government to see justice is served. Stop supporting a two tiered justice system. When Lindsey Halligan is asked by the judge in the Comey case why she decided to bring vague charges against him, ignoring the recommendation of the line prosecutors who were involved in the months long investigation of the case, and by the way I want to see that memo, I don't think she is going to bring up Pete Buttigieg.

If she does the judge will ask, "why are you bringing that up?" So.......as I said.......deflection noted.

Why would the judge ask her that? The grand jury brought the indictments. Very specific I might add as well.
