Now? Trump is threatening to hold the government hostage and shut it down if Congress doesn't authorize AMERICAN taxpayer money to build it.

Well, just like when the government shut down in the mid 90's and the Navy missed their paycheck on the 15th, but when the government reopened on the 24th, everyone got their back pay with their next check.

Yeah, we didn't miss out on much money, but it pissed everyone off to no end, because a lot of them had to go to Navy Relief to pay their bills that month, and then had to pay back Navy Relief.

I'm not sure if Trump ever had ANY moral compass, and these last few days have shown that he lacks any moral authority to lead the 2/3 of our population that disapprove of his actions.

Honestly I'm tired of hearing that "both sides" in Charlottesville are to blame......THERE IS NO MORAL EQUIVALENCY between both sides.....NONE !!!

We have one side of white supremacists, KKK and NAZI sympathizers, and on the other side we have folks who thinks that such a mindset of their opponents is the VERY definition of IMMORALITY.

Trump has chosen to elevate the side of immorality....probably because he inherently SHARES those same manifested feelings of superiority and, believe it or not, also self-doubt of your own worth.

It is time for thinking Americans regardless of party affiliation to ALSO choose a side and determine if your own feelings are more aligned with those of the KKK and neo-Nazism.

Unfortunately (or fortunately, if you are an alleged non-condemner of racists, and are therefore, yourself, racist solely by your inaction according to the authoritarians among us), the Constitution does not provide for such a qualification to hold the office of POTUS.

If the moral majority could tolerate obama for 8 years (and we did) the leftwingers can certainly tolerate Trump. To begin with Ya'll need to quit bowing down to and worshipping diversity so much.

The truth of the matter....................................most of those who demand it from all of us really have no clue as to what it actually is and though it can include diverse nationalities and ethnicities ...there is much more ---such as people from different economic backgrounds, people with different political philosophies, people from all walks of life, fascists, communists, socialists, Nazis, KKK'ers poor people, rich people, those who flip burgers, those who tend bar or drive a cab etc. it does not just mean and I re-iterate--- racial diversity. In fact that may be the least important component of diversity and in fact I think that to be the case. The real important thing is that America is composed of all the above and more...but like Trump said...we are American's first.

If you put a statue of Hitler up, how do you think people would react? Hitler stands for something. Statues that honor those who gave their lives in WW2 in Germany would not have a statue of Hitler to represent them. So why do Confederate statues have these well known people?

Who are you to say someone can't have a statue stand. What happened to freedom of speech? Do they not have the right to let there statue stand? Just because someone doesn't like it. This isn't an issue of freedom of speech. Surely someone CAN have such a statue in their own garden. This isn't in their own garden, this is in a public space. As such these matters are different.
