Putin wanted all the ukraine and to demonstrate that Russia was strong and to be feared.
He failed. He spent a generation of men and showed the world that Russia was weak and getting weaker with time.
Putin wants all of Ukraine.
Trump is giving him the initial part of his conquest.
Betraying Ukraine and supporting Moscow’s demands thatvKiev be given no security guarantees.
Setting the stage for a new a Russian invasion once they have regrouped.
With the United States actively trying to prevent Ukraine from rebuilding or rearming (aas Trump has consistantly done), Ukrainecwill lay prone for the inevitable Russian invasion.
When the invasion does come, Trump will again take a Putin’s side.
He is demanding elections in Ukraine (abut not Russia).
And, if the aA Ukranians do have elections, Trump will no doubt support Moscow’s candidate. he may even send Manafort to work on it,
Trump is helping Putin set the stage for the next war.
The lessons of 1938 loom large.
Those lessons remind Putin and Trump that Hitler got away with it. And that’s what they see.
