If I had to bet -- and I won't, given the fact that I'm lousy at predicting elections -- I would bet that Trump will win. My guess is that more people than ever don't want to admit in public that they're voting for him. They can see what they're enabling, but when a person is alone in a voting booth, the truth comes out. They want their issues advanced, over decency or honesty or humanity or the Constitution or their supposed religion or anything else.

The Republicans who see what's happening and are fighting it have put those things over the issues.

Maybe the staff in the schools are grateful to be shut down, since they're dealing with a bunch of children who don't speak English, lack basic care, and are taking the resources of American kids.

I'm not endorsing bomb threats, but again it shines a light on a bigger crisis
