The laws do apply. But, Trump did nothing wrong. Everyone knew Trump kept documents. The Archivist were at Mar-a-Lago. The Archivists were in communication with Trump lawyers and advisors. All this is fact.

No charges arising from the Presidential Records Act, all charges Espionage. Was Trump conducting Espionage or was Trump's handling of documents so reckless that it must be considered Espionage. Hard to argue under the nose of the Secret Service, Trump's security, and all the cameras, locked doors, and exact logs of who came and went.

The part missing is who told the FBI to raid Mar-a-lago, what communication did they have with the Archivist. Will we get to see the emails or were they destroyed Hillary Clinton style.

Mar-a-lago was the southern White House. There was no Camp David for Trump when he vacationed. It was Mar-a-lago. With regular Trump security and secret service and all kinds of White House staff.
