Trump is still more popular than both his 2024 general election opponent, Kamala Harris, and California Governor Gavin Newsom

How cool is that? The American People are on to the Democrats. None of them are any good.
He is a leader of action and still remains the most transparent and assessible of any president in my lifetime. This must be the new standard, not a leader hiding in his basement or refusing to be questioned by the media. He must continue to foster and even encourage this approach to make it the new norm, it encourages patriotism to hear often from ones leader.

Not sure of the relevancy of this?

Wait until the election cycle gets into gear.

The desperation you reek of is overwhelming

I can't imagine why people would hate Democrats so much

From the link in the OP:

“Still, Democrats came out on top on the question of which party voters would like to see in control of Congress after the midterms, with 50% expressing a preference for team blue and 44% indicating they’d like Republicans to hold on.”

Thanks for sharing.

Trump approval just hit the 30s. Can his numbers get any lower -
Nate Silver - Mar 30, 2026

$4 gas is a big problem for Trump. But broken campaign promises and series of self-inflicted wounds are eroding support even among Trump’s base.

The last time I did a check-in on President Trump’s popularity in November, I noted that the decline in his approval ratings had been remarkably linear. There have been peaks and valleys, sure, which you can correlate with particular news events. But the recovery after every bounce-back has been incomplete, leaving some permanent damage behind.

So what’s happened since then? Well, let’s just go ahead and update that chart.
Trump's numbers keep trending down

Net approval rating, with linear trendline

Obviously, the trend is still down. To be fair, his numbers were relatively flat between November and March.¹ But Trump just hit a new low in our tracking. For the first time in his second term, Trump’s approval rating in our average is (just barely) below 40 percent at 39.7. And his net approval rating is -17.4, also a new low. The recent decline has been pretty steep: about 5 points of net approval over the past several weeks. []][

...

It’s still the economy, stupid

I just can't imagine people voting for any of the California liberals to turn the US into being like a state who is number one in residents leaving.

Same poll: When asked which party they want to control Congress after the midterms, voters preferred Democrats over Republicans by a 6-point margin (50% to 44%).

Democrats like myself are unhappy with the Democratic Party, that's why.

Unlike all the Trump boot lickers, we can think for ourselves.

However, we will never vote for Trump, even if we are unhappy with our own party...so this data doesn't mean what you think it means.
