Trump is doing what the voters want him to do

So like my brother you want me to believe prices are down because YOU say you went to the store and you say the price was down.

The price for gas is finally under $3 a gallon. I did notice that. That usually happens after holiday. What did Trump do to cause prices to go lower? Probably because everyone is in a wait and see mode and not buying anything they don't need, gas prices went down.

Or the oil companies are going to do everything they can to help Trump. Even temporarily lower their prices.

Yea, this year car sales are going to be horrible. This I heard from my friends who are auto engineers. That was before Trump started fucking shit up. So things were already going to be tough this year. Now Trump has made it worse. So it's no surprise gas prices have gone down

  • In March 2025, the annual inflation rate was 2.4%, down from 2.8% in February.
  • This means prices are still generally going up, but not as quickly as they were before.
So just like under Biden, inflation is slowing. Thanks to the Feds. Trump did nothing. And rent is still too high remember? Fix that. You promised.
Nope, I said go shopping

Voters wanted Trump to crash, the stock market and trash our 401(k)s? Who knew?

For the most part, yes. However, I also want him to put his foot up Israel's ass but I don't think he's going to do it.
I want hostages released by hamas. Why hasn’t that happened?

I guess neither of us is completely satisfied.
No peace until hostages are freed. Yet, you want Israelis to suffer. That’s some backwards shit there

No peace until hostages are freed.
The Palestinians or the Zionists? What about "no peace until the Palestinians are given their land back"? Too complicated a question for you perhaps? Hmmmmm? :eusa_think:
Yet, you want Israelis to suffer.
I find it really fascinating that people like you can find an absurd twist of nonsense in everything you do not understand. I think it's your lack of experience.
That’s some backwards shit there
And your response is nothing but shit in both directons ... backwards 💩 and forwards 💩. How's that for a reply? Good, huh?:whip:

So in summation

a. I am not listening to fake news. I'm listening to NEWS. And I've heard enough to know you and my brother who are the ones not hearing the news. So you think Trump's plan is necessary, and that the rest of the world rely on us or need us more than we need them.
I also heard from my German boss that we really don't have a trade imbalance if you factor in certain things. I don't know the details yet but I'll look into it.

Regarding who needs who more

Yes, the United States has a trade imbalance with the European Union. In 2022, the U.S. had a trade deficit of $131.3 billion with the EU. This means the U.S. imported more goods and services from the EU than it exported to the EU.

So we want to buy their shit and they don't want to buy ours. 1. Sounds like we rely on them more than they us. If we buy more from them than they buy from us, isn't that obvious? And why would they buy from us? Is it because our shits cheaper? Isn't that why we buy from them?

I want us to win this trade war but I'm trying to make sense of it.

Here is my concern. Trump is painting this as good for America but I believe if all countries get rid of tariffs, that too will be long term bad for workers. No protections. Buy from the cheapest country. Ruin the middle class in every country.

Did you know that during the Cuban Missile Crisis and 13 Days, the majority of JFKs advisors, many of them military men, advised him to strike the missiles that were housed in Cuba? Even knowing that Russians might die in the attack?

Did you know that Churchills War Cabinet in the majority advised negotiating a peace deal with Germany (even some in the Royal Family as Germany promised they would allow them to remain Head of State)?

The moral of the story is that leaders need to keep the promises they made to their citizens and to govern as they know is best, even if not popular with his inner circle or the 1%ers/Paul Ryans of the world. In both cases above the head of the government, JFK and Churchill overruled what their advisors wanted. In both instances they knew best, it is why they were democratically elected.

In general, the voting public is never wrong. They collectively choose their leader based on their ability to make such decisions (although Churchill technically wasn't voted in by the British public, he was a replacement for Chamberlain).

You aren't the only one who is shocked at the things Trump has done. I hear many voters saying "I didn't think he was going to be this way" and we always tell them, "what do you mean you didn't think he'd be this way? We warned you. Hell, HE warned you"

Like him slapping Canada with tariffs or threatening to make them the 51st state. Think he's kidding? Think he wouldn't if he could?

“Good luck to the Great people of Canada,” he wrote on Truth Social. “Elect the man who has the strength and wisdom to cut your taxes in half,

He's meddling in your elections. And he's lying to you like he lied to us. He said he'd lower prices and raise wages on day one. Now it's a 2 year plan. Well now he's telling Canada he would cut your taxes in half. LIAR. Plus you would have to start paying for your healthcare.

If you look at the actual numbers of deportations, so far in his second term the rate of deportations is actually lower than other presidents before him. This is not my opinion, you can look up the numbers yourself.

Here's a summary from Grok:

Conclusion
As of April 27, 2025, Trump’s second-term deportation numbers (100,000 in 80 days, projecting to ~456,250 annually) are lower than Biden’s (1 million/year), Obama’s (662,500/year), Bush’s (1.287 million/year), and Clinton’s (1.537 million/year). Percentage-wise, Trump’s projected 4.1% annual rate (of the undocumented population) is below Biden (9.1%), Obama (6.0%), Bush (11.7%), and Clinton (14.0%), and slightly below his first term (4.3%). In the first ~100 days, Trump’s ~0.9% trails Obama (1.4–1.8%) and Bush/Clinton (~2.3–3.6%).

Another thing that many here don't realize is that the government allowed the border problem to happen in order to be used as a pretext for the pre-planned "solution"..... more authoritarian Orwellian policies, like a digital ID, mass surveillance, a biometric tracking system, etc. Problem - Reaction - Solution.

And btw, he's not actually deporting all illegals, per his own words:

(The pertinent part starts at 22 seconds in)

Biden counted turning someone away at the border as a deportation, you stupid Dimwinger Cult moron.
