There are literally thousands of Grand Juries convened every day in the U.S. Do they all signal "charges could be coming"? The Trump G.J. seems focused on technical violations of the tax code. Fair enough but when is the New York justice dept. going to convene a Grand Jury that investigates allegations that the governor is responsible for the deaths of about 10,000 nursing home patients?

If he is convening a grand jury but doesn't have enough probable cause the get search warrants against Trump himself or Trump, Inc., then odds are you are going to be disappointed. They appear to be going after America's Mayor at this point. I mean nobody in their right mind would think that Trump himself does his taxes or fills out any paperwork. The man has the attention-span of a gnat. All his lawyer has to do is show footage of him reading a teleprompter to know the Donald is not particularly literate.

Mr. Vance was watching TV last week and was thinking "what would my predecessor Sam Waterston do in this situation" and decided to try and be vindicative like the actor would have.
