Trump insults entire city of Detroit

If They Own a Man's Work, They Own That Man

The Plutes and their heirs only own the workplace; they don't own the work. Because all the increases in profits go to the top, the people who actually produce that revenue have no motivation to work harder.

Second, as in Dilbert, they see too many clowns in management who never worked on the ground floor and are brainwashed about how easy it is, so they never bother to find out about it. Management by Imagination. "All for one, and that one all for himself."
I had to work as a electronic technician for another man's company. I realized that i could invest in that company. I am now a very wealthy person. I saw too many stupid people, who were satisfied just working for their pension. That is allowing someone else to take care of you. Those profits at the top went into my wealth, my retirement, so bullshit on those who dont invest.

Pleasing the Plutes

When Detroit went bankrupt, its leaders refused to sell its hoity-toity collection of million-dollar art. That explains where their priorities were.

This wasn't Postmodern junk, but still it should have been the first austerity sacrifice.
Selling Detroit’s art collection would only be a temporary fix that would have hurt them in the long run. The collection draws tourism from all around the state. Ive been to the DIA several times. My high school art class even took a field trip their from 2 hours north.

The auto industry was Detroit’s life blood, they bled out after sending it over seas. Liquidating their art assets wouldn’t have provided long term revenue.

Government Ownership Isn't the Only Alternative to Plutocratic Ownership

Unions should buy stock with their dues, taking over the company that way. Being on-scene, they would make better business decisions than the absentee owners running Wall Street's command economy.

Watch for the bootlickers' straw men: "Employee owners would take all the profits as dividends, leaving no working capital."

There is some merit to your proposal.

The problem with Union men, is that they arent the brightest bulbs in the room. I had one guy say, "I would never invest in my own company, because if the company goes bankrupt, i lose everything". Enron comes to mind, but smart people would of seen the corruption of that company working with Bill Clinton, thus knowing it was doomed to fail. On the other hand, never put all your eggs in one basket, diversify and you can make plenty of money in the market. I started investing when the DOW jones was under 5,000 and the speculators were saying it would be really hard to break that 5k milestone.....Yeah, sure.
