Truth be told, there is a significant number of Repubs who don't even want to go above $1 trillion, let alone $2 trillion. So, Trump has put them on the hot seat too, and it might cost the GOP their Senate majority if they do nothing even if Trump wins. Even worse, if they lose the Senate and Trump loses, then the Dems will end the filibuster and do whatever they please.

I don't think McConnell or the maj of his caucus really care. The will confirm Barrett, and for most of them that will insure they'll be reelected.
