Trump - "I have been asked to speak as a unifier because I have so many friends in Congress"

Isn't this the exact opposite of what we've been told by his supporters? When asked why Trump didn't get the wall built or why he let spending balloon out of control the answer we always get is that the Congress wouldn't work with him, including the "RINOs" in his own party. If that's true, then how exactly is he the great uniter? If he's the great uniter, how isn't he to blame for his failures?

Many in congress do support him. Unifier. We are a split nation. If we lived in a time of muskets and cannons we would probably be at War.

Who controls the purse skippy?

"what do you mean by attack???
he did legal investigations and queries,,,"
Legal investigations and queries.
OK, cool.
Sorta like the two impeachment trials.
Sorta like the 91 indictment-thingy.
All "legal investigations"

And then, there is that "attack" issue.
Sorta like the E.Jean Carroll rape. But more.

More, like this: In this morning's newsfeeds there is this long piece on Don Trump's predictable attacks on those who are involved in any attempt to hold him accountable (remember back in 2016 he went after that judge (born in Indiana) who had a Hispanic name? Sure, you remember that. Google it. Judge Gonzalo Curiel, if memory serves.

Anyway, in the newsfeeds there is this: (it's a long piece, so I am offering a taster, an appetizer. But you'll get the drift. The other areas of his attacks I've listed at the bottom of this taster as bullet points:

"Trump’s attacks on judges, prosecutors, their staffs and potential witnesses against him...... follow a familiar formula. The substance and even the words tend to be virtually the same, they’re generally baseless, and they’re often ugly.
Trump has now attacked more than a dozen key figures in the cases against him, which include four criminal indictments, the New York civil fraud trial and two matters involving the alleged sexual assault and defamation of writer E. Jean Carroll.
Here’s a rundown.

  • He calls them ‘racist’

Three of the prosecutors bringing cases against Trump are Black, and Trump often accuses them of racism against him.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg (D): “The Racist Manhattan District Attorney” (March on Truth Social)

New York Attorney General Letitia James (D): “Another witch hunt by a racist attorney general” (September 2022 on Truth Social)
Willis: “They’ve got a local racist democrat district attorney in Atlanta …” (April speech at Mar-a-Lago)
Willis: “They say there’s a young woman, a young racist in Atlanta, so racist …” (August speech in Windham, N.H.)

  • He makes claims about their romances

Trump has cited, without evidence, the idea that key figures in his legal cases were romantically tied to allegedly nefarious figures or his political opponents.

An aide to Engoron: “[Sen. Charles] Schumer’s girlfriend … is running this case against me.” (This is baseless.) (Tuesday on Truth Social)
Willis: “She ended up having an affair with the head of the gang or a gang member.” (This is also baseless.) (August speech in Windham, N.H.)

  • He attacks their family members

Trump is often not content to attack people individually; he also invokes their friends and relatives in support of his claims that they are biased against him.

Bragg: “TRUMP HATING WIFE AND FRIENDS” (April on Truth Social)
Judge Tanya S. Chutkan, presiding over Trump’s federal election-fraud case: “Oh, I’m sure she will be very fair” (while citing an article claiming Chutkan’s grandfather was a Marxist). (September on Truth Social)

Justice Juan Merchan, presiding over Trump’s New York hush money case: “I have a Trump-hating judge with a Trump-hating wife and family whose daughter worked for Kamala Harris and now receives money from the Biden-Harris campaign.” (April speech at Mar-a-Lago)
Special counsel Jack Smith: A “Trump Hater, as are all his friends and family.” (June on Truth Social)
Smith: “He’s a raging and uncontrolled Trump-hater, as is his wife.” (June speech in Bedminster, N.J.)
Willis: “A family steeped in hate” (citing her father being a Black Panther). (August campaign email)

  • He calls them ‘Marxist’ and ‘fascist’
  • He likens them to something subhuman
  • He says they are ‘biased’ and anti-Trump
  • He accuses them of election interference
  • He says they are crazy
  • He accuses them of crimes
  • He makes veiled threats

The idea that Trump can be a unifier is ridiculous

My way or the highway is not unifying

Hopefully not Trump because we had the worst debt spending in history under his presidency.

Because the Dems had the House.

Very stupid question from a very stupid person.

If he was a great unifier that wouldn't matter.

Did the Bushes get impeached? Did Reagan? Did Eisenhower? Coolidge? Weird, huh.

Wrong, but that's a cute myth you all keep trotting out every time it's brought up.

Either you're completely ignorant regarding Trump's reckless fiscal policies or you're a liar.
Stop acting all high and mighty. You just have terminal TDS.

Yes the overspent when we shut down. I said that would happen and now we are fucked by inflation.

To your calling me a liar or stupid...I could care less what you think.
