You don't seem to understand how a vaccine works.

The vaccine, if enough people get it, can give us herd immunity. That's how we can defeat it if it is done quickly enough.

Once it has mutated into a bazillion different strains, it won't work. People will have to get a shot every year or so to deal with it if we do not get herd immunity quickly enough. We have the technology to beat COVID ass!
