Tariffs are not taxes. Taxes are paid for by Americans, tariffs are currently being paid for by importers. Then TAX US for it, and let us get credit for paying the taxes...instead of it being hidden...where y'all can continue to claim the poor ... and lower 50% tile doesn't pay any federal taxes, so they should never get a tax break, and some on your side claim, should not be able to even vote and all that crud your side spews....
Not true. Tariffs are being paid for by importers not consumers. Besides, tariffs only happen if you buy foreign goods. If you choose to buy US products you don't pay any tariff. Most of the people paying off the debt with these tariffs and with the largest percent of their disposable income ARE THE LOWER 50% of the people in this nation, including the poorest...the ones you cut Medicaid by $800 billion on...
Tariffs are generating about $400b in new revenue, so they are helping not hurting. What "world stage"? Stop hallucinating. These Tariff games have hurt us tremendously by Trump, especially small businesses...his TACO method is very harmful...changing the rate of tariffs by the minute and deadline causes this chaos and is very harmful, and it degraded us on the world stage....of trustworthiness....
You are correct when you say "tariffs hurt importers, wholesalers, retailers, small businesses, and consumers".Tax us in federal income tax, let us see who is paying it, and stop these hidden tax GAMES via tariffs that he is playing... which hurt the average Joe citizen masses more than the elites....enough already! this wishy washy shit hurts everyone! It hurts importers, whole sellers, retailers, small businesses and consumers! Reciprocal tariff taxes for where we are harmed is NOT what Trump is doing!
But it doesn't hurt them all equally. Currently importers are paying the majority of tariffs. I prefer that to me paying the IRS.
