Trump Hits Pause On Trade War.

Sorry, but in the real world, you can't just say pretty please and expect compliance. It doesn't work that way.

They will negotiate because they must negotiate. We are in a position of strength, despite what US bashing liberals are always spouting.

An either/or fallacy is not an argument.

Bullying, by threatening to unilaterally cause a global financial collapse is a bad faith strategy. It telegraphs Trump’s bad faith, recklessness and does not inspire confidence or trust in those he wants to negotiate with.

Spending a nation’s economic power and influence all at once will guarantee that the US will end up far weaker on the world stage as a result.

He blew his stake on the first round.

A new poll from Economist/YouGov released Wednesday shows that Donald Trump’s approval rating has dropped from +5 to -29 points among voters under 30 since his inauguration, a 34-point tumble. Trump also fell eight points with millennials and four points with boomers, but gained a point with Gen X.
Guess what happens if Trump doesn't do that. Then Australia

‘Nowhere on Earth Is safe’: Trump Imposes Tariffs on Uninhabited Islands Near Antarctica.

A group of barren, uninhabited volcanic islands near Antarctica, covered in glaciers and home to penguins, has been swept up in Donald Trump’s trade war, as the US president hit them with a 10% tariff on goods.

Heard Island and McDonald Islands, which form an external territory of Australia, are among the remotest places on Earth, accessible only via a two-week boat voyage from Perth on Australia’s west coast. They are completely uninhabited, with the last visit from people believed to be nearly 10 years ago.

Nevertheless, Heard and McDonald islands featured in a list released by the White House of “countries” that would have new trade tariffs imposed.

The Australian prime minister, Anthony Albanese, said on Thursday: “Nowhere on Earth is safe.”

Guess what. Antarctic islands are owned by no country; therefore China or somebody else could establish theoretically establish a base from there from which to export some items without tariffs.

President Trump: always forward-thinking. Again, five steps ahead of everybody else.

The only ones reversing are the countries Trump's superb negotiation has brought to the table. And now this great man has put China in a vise grip after their arrogant defiance.

Say it with me.
Greatest. Negotiator. In. The. World.

No one has come to any table. They've expressed interest in the wake of Trump's bullying and threats.

But they know Trump does not deal in good faith.

And no, Trump is a terrible negotiator.

It's the uncertainty. Vietnam has like the 4th highest trumpian tariffs, YET US businesses moved from Jina to Vietnam to satisfy Trump's demands in Trump1. Now that's suddenly "wrong" and US buisness will be punished with higher import costs.

Meanwhile, the EU now has an opportunity to preempt any move the US could take to make a Jina deal. And any idiot with remote and cable/streaming can see what will happen to US prices if we don't. Will we send billions FOR AT LEAST THE THIRD TIME with Trump to farmers, who eventually will find non Jina markets for soybeans?

What we do know is that som US companies will fail because they won't find product to sell because of the tariffs. No one in the US is opening up teeshirt factories. Will Trump bail them out too with deficit dollars? After other US companies find countries other than Vietnam or Jina, will Trump go after those too?

IT will probably all shake out, but not for over a year or so. And even then, we just witnessed a US president intent on simultaneous trade wars with the two economies that are close to our own.

You really don't understand financial negotiation, do you?
Trump certainly doesn't.

History PROVES trade wars always fail.

Every. Time.

Trump is living in some kind of fantasy brought on by his dementia, and he is bringing all of you along on a bad acid trip.

There will be only one measure of success of Trump's stupid far left tariff war.

That measure will be the balance of trade after he is finally gone for good.

So tell me, rubes. Are you going to stop buying shit from China?

I can hardly wait on the spin that lefties will put on all of this once the dust settles and the markets go up and the US is in better shape. I'm sure Trump won't be given credit.
