Trump, his advisors, and his beloved press conferences

i'm glad it worked for your friend. my sister who is infected cannot take it, because she has heart disease. donny is desperate for all this to go away - more so because he has a raging hard on to have an adulation rally & deep down he's scared this will affect his chances of winning a 2nd term.

Are you NOT desperate for something to make this virus go away? If not, you are one of the few far-left individuals who are rooting for failure, sickness, and death.

Specifically, why do you demand that a potential, safe drug, be kept secret? We have a great president who is daily going before the public and answering any and all questions about this killer virus. Why is that a bad thing?

lol - i am not far left silly boy. but i do want this virus to go away & i want a vaccine & i want medications that can help & don't want people to be lab rats is all. i am not saying people can't take it - i am saying i want to be sure that it doesn't kill ME & it hasn't been proven to be a blanket answer... but donny asks what do you have to lose? there is ALWAYS something in it for yer chosen one or he wouldn't give it the time of day.

it's in his blood.

What would TDS lefties do without (tax exempt) Media Matters? Trump is better at fielding mostly hostile questions from the liberal press than any other republican in modern history including Reagan and the left says his news conferences are "beloved". How do you deal with crazy people like this these days?

Trump talks too much, and by conducting these press conference, ostensibly on the Covid-19 pandemic, he opens himself up to unrelenting questions about past decisions and statements. The latest controversy is the moronic statement by his acting navy secretary. It was so bad, the guy resigned before he got fired. In four days Trump has fired Intelligence Community inspector general Michael Atkinson, Glenn Fine, the acting inspector general at the Department of Defense, who was going to lead the newly formed Pandemic Response Accountability Committee, and White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham, a press secretary who never held a press conference.

All of this and more requires an explanation. The possibility exists that CNN and other networks show Trump's press conferences which have long outlived their usefulness to show how incompetent Trump is. It is so easy for reporters to get Trump riled up and off on tangent that has nothing to do with the pandemic.

The death toll is now over 12,700, and we just had our worst day, 1,877. Prompted by a question from a reporter, Trump got himself all worked up over the Wisconsin primary, mail-in ballots, voter I.D., and election fraud.

My apologies to them, the networks are doing a fine job. In November, Biden will be a shoe-in.

it's quite possible. you know azar, head of HHS was a bigpharma lobbyist in his former life AND there were 'classified' meetings held in a SCIF at HHS where medical experts were excluded but the inside traders attended. hmmmmm.... curious that.

That's just stupid too.

Honestly, one has to work at being that stupid. One wonders how long it will be before Trump fires Modly. That is another reason Trump likes "acting" before the title. He can get rid of them easily.

Turns out I was wrong. Modly outsmarted me. He quit before he got fired.

The idiot resigned on Tuesday following an uproar over a profanity-laced address to the crew of the coronavirus-stricken aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt on Sunday, Defense Secretary Mark Esper announced.

Politico reports, "He resigned on his own accord, putting the Navy and Sailors above self so that the USS Theodore Roosevelt, and the Navy as an institution, can move forward," Esper said in a statement.

I think I am going to puke. What a bunch of B.S.

Please show us the list of hundreds of people killed by taking the Hydroxychloroquine as a cure for the Coronavirus.

God forbid, but if you come down with the virus, are in an ICU on a ventilator, tell the doctors, "HELL NO I WON'T TAKE HYDROXYCHLOROQUINE"! President Trump has mentioned it and I'D RATHER DIE!

France Officially Sanctions Drug After 78 Of 80 Patients Recover From COVID-19 Within Five Days
By Amanda PrestigiacomoDailyWire.com

The French government has officially sanctioned chloroquine, a drug often used to fight malaria, for certain patients infected with the novel coronavirus, or COVID-19.

“The French government has officially sanctioned prescriptions of chloroquine to treat certain coronavirus patients,” France 24 English reported Saturday.

“This ensures continued treatment of patients who have been treated for several years for a chronic condition with this drug, but also allows a temporary authorization to allow certain patients with coronavirus to benefit from this therapeutic route,” said France’s director general of health Jérôme Salomon.

The move comes after infectious diseases specialist Didier Raoult announced new clinical results, which can be accessed here, that show 78 out of 80 patients treated with chloroquine recovered within five days, reported Trustnodes.

The five-day recovery time is “considerably” faster “than the usual 14 days and for some it can go up to 28 days if they recover at all,” the outlet highlighted.

"According to officials".......Probably Obama holdovers.

the concept of "America First" is in Trump's blood.

he wants 1st place in everything. and it shows in these press events, my friends!

Trump's latest controversy was caused by the moronic statements by his acting navy secretary. Before being fired for being a total idiot, Modly resigned.

Trump made Modly out to be a hero. He claimed that Modly put his country first, and his personal interests second.

“The captain should not have written a letter, he didn’t have to be Ernest Hemingway. He made a mistake but he had a bad day,” Trump said.

He added on Modly’s resignation: “I had heard he did because he didn’t want to cause any disturbance for our country… because he wouldn’t have had to resign, I would not have asked him. I think in really many ways that was a very unselfish thing for him to do."
Trump says he wouldn't have asked Navy Sec. Modley to resign

Trump added, "I don’t know him."

"A handful of Democratic lawmakers have called for Modly, who was appointed by President Donald Trump after the former Navy secretary was forced to resign, to step down or be fired." Lawmakers are calling for acting Navy secretary to resign or be fired - Business Insider

There is little wonder as to why Trump's fans can't defend Trump. How in the world does one defend a complete idiot?

NEW YORK (Reuters) - New York, the hardest hit state in America, on Wednesday reported its highest number of coronavirus-related deaths in a single day with even veteran doctors and nurses expressing shock at the speed with which patients were declining and dying.

"An influential model cited by the White House has cut its projected coronavirus death toll by 26 percent. The University of Washington’s model now predicts that 60,000 Americans will die in the pandemic by Aug. 4, down from a projection of nearly 82,000 just a day earlier," the New York Post.

With news like that, we don't need a cheerleader in the Oval Office. We need a President. So, What is Trump's reaction to all this?

"I'd love to open with a big bang, one beautiful country and just open," Trump said on Sean Hannity's Fox News show.

"We're looking at two concepts. We're looking at the concept where you open up sections and we're also looking at the concept where you open up everything," Trump added.

Trump substitutes fantasy for encouragement. He doesn't know how to express reasonable optimism.

Then there are times when a leader should just keep his damn mouth shut, and let the experts speak.

Trump doesn't know how to do that, either.

Of course, Trump made this unrealistic, dreamy fantasy on Fox's Sean Hannity show. Only Trump's fans listen to Hannity. They believe everything Trump says.

Trump has a habit of thinking out loud. That's okay as long as his official policy stays safely inside "the box".
Pence said many times that the US will not open before its safe enough to do so.
That said, it may not be unanimous, because restaurants can't stay shut too much longer without staying shut permanently.

at Trump campaign events, its hard to separate fanatics from lunatics, and really, what's the difference.

these press events are a nice change of pace, as it were!

How good a job is Trump doing on the coronavirus pandemic? Well, here is one measure.

There are 1,585,000 cases of coronavirus in the world. With 466,000 the U.S. alone has approximately a third of the world's total.
