Justice Department Intervenes To Take Over Trump's Defense In Defamation Lawsuit
E. Jean Carroll, who has accused the president of rape, is suing him for defamation after he called her a liar. The DOJ argues President Trump's remarks were made as part of his official duties.

"The U.S. Justice Department on Tuesday moved to assume responsibility for defending President Trump in a defamation lawsuit brought by a woman who says Trump raped her in the 1990s. In an unusual five-page filing in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, the Justice Department argued that Trump's remarks were made in the performance of his official duties as president and that therefore government attorneys should assume Trump's defense from his private lawyers."
It's a brilliant move for Trump to do this because first and foremost, it saves him money that he would have been paying for private attorneys -- and secondly, he totally owned the libs by doing this....and the timing is perfect because a month ago -- a judge ruled that Trump was going to have to provide documents, provide a DNA sample and sit for a deposition -- and so he brilliantly had Bill Barr step in and basically serve as his defense lawyer.....It would be like Clinton hiring Janet Reno to defend him against that Paula Jones broad -- except he didn't have the balls to do it...Trump does....this is another reason why he will win the election in a landslide, probably by 28 million votes at least...
