I thought it was reversed. Russia is under sanctions because of questionable reasons.

Who definetly doesn't want Trump are those NATO generals: a lot of them will be dismissed and will stop receiving big salaries for doing nothing. Just a couple of days ago Spiegel released a very interesting article:

Working with dubious sourcing, a group close to NATO's chief military commander Philip Breedlove sought to secure weapons deliveries for Ukraine, a trove of newly released emails revealed. The efforts served to intensify the conflict between the West and Russia.
The newly leaked emails reveal a clandestine network of Western agitators around the NATO military chief, whose presence fueled the conflict in Ukraine. Many allies found in Breedlove's alarmist public statements about alleged large Russian troop movements cause for concern early on.
Breedlove sought counsel from some very prominent people, his emails show. Among them were Wesley Clark, Breedlove's predecessor at NATO, Victoria Nuland, the assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs at the State Department, and Geoffrey Pyatt, the US ambassador to Kiev.
Karber's emails constantly made it sound as though the apocalypse was only a few weeks away. "The front is now everywhere," he told Breedlove in an email at the beginning of 2015, adding that Russian agents and their proxies "have begun launching a series of terrorist attacks, assassinations, kidnappings and infrastructure bombings," in an effort to destabilize Kiev and other Ukrainian cities.
What's more: Nuland, a diplomat who shares many of the same views as Breedlove, could move into an even more important role after the November election -- she's considered a potential candidate for secretary of state.

Big difference what policies were put in place to aide Putin as a result of this? The GOP shot down measure to fund the Urkrain against putin....that is significant policy there....Clintons??????

Since the news about the uranium deal were tied to Clinton, most news articles include their name with the deal. The President is briefed every morning and on major international deals he is got to be briefed on.
Russia, Ukraine and Poland go back several centuries with their disputes. Let them sort it out. They always did. We have nothing to do with it especially not pumping money into the affair. Our country is in shambles, our priorities should address domestic issues first.

No matter what you think about Trump one has to admit : his brief declaration of foreign policy is the only intelligible coherent and adequate one to the reality of American doctrine in the last 30 years. And even such an academic guru as Paul Gregory of the Hoover Institution admits that (in contrast to the political demagogues).

Trump formulated the American anti-globalization and patriotic alternative. An alternative to the forces and interests that have been activated by Ukrainian coup, which goal was to create a self-reproducing mechanism of the Cold War. Trump’s attempt to stifle this mechanism promises not to be good for Trump. However, the failure of this attempt does not promise anything good for America.

Um, nope. The sanctions due to the Ukrainian Crisis and Crimea are still standing. And have been credited by Russia as having caused the collapse of the Russian Rubble and financial crisis in Russia in 2014 and 2015. The Russian economy is still in recession due to these sanctions.
This is what we do to Allies?
