Trump is proposing Feds take over DC. That means Kamala or AOC could be the next President and I would still take Feds running DC over the failed Home Rule.

The District of Columbia belongs to the Federal Government. If people don’t want to “suffer the whims of partisan politics”, all the more reason to have DC as a Federalized City run by the US Government. If DC were federalized with no local government and run in it’s entirety by the Federal Government, people choosing to live in DC would be subject to less partisan politics by comparison to any other US City.

DC Home Rule is a failure.
