Actually, it is the UK who is damaging the economy as it was their dropping of the insurance of those tankers that really ground them to a halt + the UK's dragging their feet on even coming to help police the Strait.

Is it really? We went to war with Iran over:

1. Their murdering possibly as many as 100,000 protesters just for complaining about the tyranny.
2. Their continued threats and aggression developing nuclear weapons.
3. Their continuous and escalating funding or terrorism and war throughout the ME and world.

We didn't go to war with the oil, nor did we intend to inflict economic and energy damage around the globe. So why not lift sanctions on oil, at least until the Strait is fully open and oil flowing again?

If the Island is seized, the very first thing Iran will do is destroy all things oil related. There's like a self-destruct button nearby.

The island is close enough to the Iranian coast to be targeted by drones and artillery, which is what they will then do.

. . . and since we have seen so far the global establishment has no intention of de-escalating this, the Americans will consider landing on the coast, as that is the next step in the escalation ladder. These planners don't have any idea, they believe in the sunk cost fallacy.

1) I can't start a fight with my neighbor then expect my other neighbor to stop what he's doing to fight with me. I seem to remember Trump telling the world he didn't need anyone's help.

2a) I find it odd that when America's protestors are in the streets, the GOPers gripe about it and applaud when a few of them get killed for "interfering with government business." Iranian protestors are Iran's version of "the woke crowd." You'll have to make up your mind on whether people have a right to protest or not.
2b) You are aware that America aborts more than $1 Million unborn per year -- aren't you? Do you actually believe that America has some sort of "moral high-ground?"

3) Israel has nukes and has repeatedly told the world that they are sworn enemies to Iran. Do you believe that they have a right to defend themselves? If I live near a gang in an American city, wouldn't it be wise for me to carry self protection? There was no problem between Iran and the Khazars until the Khazars set up shop in the region and started bullying everyone around them.

4) America and Israel have been "funding terrorism" via the CIA and Mossad for many decades. They've propped up a number of Mideastern rulers just to take them down after a period of time. If we were to count how many nations America has bombed vs. the amount of nations Iran has bombed ... the comparison would be shockingly lopsided. And let's not pretend that an American bomb any less terrifying than an Iranian bomb is. Terrorism is terrorism no matter who's shooting the missile. Ask the Japanese at Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

5) Trump bombed Iran while he was pretending to be in negotiations with them. He was clearly ill-advised as to what his war would do the world economy or his war was a complete knee-jerk reaction. In either case ... he didn't use his brain.
