Which is what the Fed has been trying to do for a couple of years now. Trying to slow the economy. They have finally succeeded, it seems.
The Fed has more to do with the Country's economy and Job Growth than the Executive Branch.

This all works to Trump's advantage. Powell will be gone next year, the economy will BOOM and Republicans will gain a Super-Majority in both houses of Congress and send dimocrap FILTH to the Fires of Hell where they belong.

Climbing the soap box for a second....
Reading folks gloating over disappointing economic news, whether it was under Biden or now under Trump, I see as rooting against yourself and America. No matter what party is holding the cards I prefer the stock market to be in a celebratory mood to see my investments gain value. I also prefer a robust jobs market for sake of my sons who are now in their late 30's and early 40's.

So what happens when the "too slow" Fed finally lowers interest rates in SEPT & DEC?
The neutral rate is about 3%, the Fed rate is about 4.5% now, lots of room to cut and spur the economy upward.
How can the economy tank when the Q2 GDP was just revised upward to 3.3%?
Trump has more than 3-years to fix the Biden/Harris mess. Democrats are toxic at 19%, that should be your focus.
Real americans will expect and demand a much higher wage for the same exact work.
