trump deports 4 year old with stage four cancer.

You people. Did you want to ***** about Trump separating families again? Nope, you couldn't do that here, so now you find another thing to ***** about. Like someone else said, step up and adopt these kids whose parents are here illegally, or let them otherwise be separated from their parents and don't ***** about it. Of course, you adopting the child would separate it from its parent(s) making YOU the evil person!

The child is STILL a US citizen and can return anytime they want to.
Ah, republicans. The party of "look what you made me do".

No, she is an undocumented immigrate, mother of 3 and married to a US citizen. Being in the country without proper documentation is not illegal in itself.

It is. It's right there in the name.

She has never been convicted of any crime.

If you say so.

Since she was never given a chance to plead her case.

How sad.
Some most likely were sent to the wrong country
They walked here; they can walk to the proper country. Or not.

and some most likely have the legal right to be here.

They should have gone through the legal process years ago, to prove that.

I was in Germany last week and for the first time in my life I was ashamed to say I was an American.

Right back at you. You should have stayed away.
When a person is arrested, detained, jailed, or deported, they are being deprive of their liberty and 5th amendments rights of due process apply.

The Supreme Court's Zadvydas v. Davis ruling established that immigration detainees have the right to due process.

A judge asking 200 detainees prior to deportation, "If anyone has legal proof of US residency or citizenship set forward." This is not due process.

Unless, immigration courts change drastically, we will deport thousands of people who have the legal right to be in United States. What the Trump administration is doing is a gross violation of our laws and our constitution. He should be impeached because he is violating he oath office.

Because she was an illegal alien.
No—she was deported simply because she couldn’t provide legal proof of her residency in the U.S. She was never given a hearing to defend herself, which was a clear violation of her right to due process.

What was ignored?
The fact that she had lived in the U.S. for most of her life.
That she was married to a U.S. citizen.
That she had three U.S.-born children, one with stage 4 cancer.
And that she had already applied for permanent residency through her marriage.

None of it was considered, because her fundamental rights were denied.

I believe the article said the child was 2 years old.

The mother faced an impossible decision: leave her sick child behind in the U.S. to continue life-saving treatment, or take her along with her other children to a country where such care might not be available. And once she is deported, there's a good chance she will never be united with child.

No mother should ever be forced to make a choice like that.

Sure it is.
You think they deserve weeks of discovery and a jury trial?

Unless, immigration courts change drastically, we will deport thousands of people who have the legal right to be in United States.

What legal right do you feel they have? Why?

I read the OP's article.

No where in it did WaPo make the case that the families had a registered claim of asylum.

But what WaPo DID fail to mention, is that these illegal aliens, all had previous orders of deportation which they ignored, making them prime candidates for expedited removal.

This is some of the most shoddy, misleading "journalism," I have read since the media and government lied about "Russian Collusion," and lied the American people into the Iraq war.

Precisely. this is the USA, we are the good guys.

Or maybe we aren't anymore.

You question indicates, you have no idea what due process is. Detainees have the legal right to a hearing, call witnesses, present evidence. If they believe they have treated unfairly, they ask for review. Most hearings last 3 to 4 hrs. About 60% wave a hearing and accept deportation.

Under Trump II, they have the right to accept their deportation or be dragged out to the plane.
If you are referring to detainees, they have 5th amendment rights or should say they had 5th amendment rights.

Nothing last forever. Trump declared a national disaster at the boarder in order to use executive orders to bypass federal laws and the constitution. If congress does not change the immigrations laws and provide adequate funding for immigration courts and C&E, nothing he is doing will be permanent.
