Well, I don't work for the government, so I am not missing a paycheck. Nor, do I own a business that depends on government contracts, or government employee salaries, so that doesn't apply to me. Granted, the airports are in chaos, so travelers are inconvenienced, but my next trip is in April, and I plan to drive. I have already been to every national park that I want to visit, and I certainly do not plan on touring Washington DC.I have no income tax refund coming this year. In fact, I am retired, and my Medicare is still just fine, and so is my Social Security. It looks to me like the shutdown that Trump is proud to own is not doing a damned thing to me. The people who are suffering are the Midwest farmers who are no longer getting their tariff induced subsidies, as well as low income earners in red states, especially places like Mississippi, Louisiana, and Alabama. So, if Trump wants to cut these people off, and destroy their economy, I guess that it won't do us any damage here in Pima County, AZ, which just voted Blue in the last election.

Trump postpones Pelosi’s official trip to Afghanistan — unless she wants to "fly commercial"

The details of Pelosi’s trip had not previously been made public, reportedly due to security concerns. According to Hammill, the delegation of lawmakers was planning on stopping in Brussels, Belgium where there was a scheduled meeting with North Atlantic Treaty Organization allies, as well as military leaders. Contrary to Trump’s letter, the delegation was not planning on going to Egypt.
