Trump could be making a major mistake today, as big as Obama's "beer gate" fiasco.

Which I support 100%.
But if the people involved were longer term employees who were prior to Bidens DEI stupidity - then Trump is going to look really bad for saying all this.
Maybe he knows something, I don't know. But this was not a good move so early in.
Concur.

I am certain that the Whitehouse councel will promptly advice him before he reaches any final conclusions/

Why’s it bad?
A president needs to be measured when he speaks. He needs to choose his words carefully. Trump’s speech is reckless to say the very least about him.

Trump blaming the air traffic collision on DEI hiring.
Not smart at all.
His answer to a reporter about how he can blame this on DEI if he, by his own words, the investigation is just underway as to how this happened. - the answer - "Because I have common sense".
Well, sorry Mr. President, but it is common sense not to make pre-emptive claims about something BEFORE you know the facts. That is what Obama did in beer gate, and he had to publicly apologize for his stupidity for doing it.
What if the people in the air tower were all experienced, long term controllers?
What if the 3 airmen in the black hawk were all in the military before Biden's moronic DEI initiatives??

He could be setting himself up for a major scandal if the facts are not relevant to DEI hiring. As well as hand his adversaries a bag full of ammunition to rightfully use against him.

Not smart. At all.
Trump didn't blame the crash on DEI hiring. Get your facts straight.

Trump didn't blame the crash on DEI hiring. Get your facts straight.
Only he did. He said his common sense leads him to believe a DEI hire was what caused this crash.

No he didn't. All he said is that DEI hiring is not a good thing, especially in key, critical jobs like aircraft controllers.

I saw the presser.

He did NOT blame the collision on DEI. No one knows what caused it.

All we know at this point is that the Blackhawk was at the same elevation as the plane, should have seen the plane, should have changed direction, and should have been warned off sooner, but wasn't, and flew straight into the tail section of the small jet.

Yes, he did.

He was the one who brought it up. And he went on and on about it.

Hahahaha. She has destroyed every leftist media gotcha question.

No, she made up a claim that 98% of the employees in HHS voted for Harris (aas if not voting for Derp fuhrer was a crime). Called Federal workers politically suspect, based on nothing (other than a hoary old right wing trope).

So Trump is responsible for everything that goes on in his administration? Good! I fully agree

You realize that means that you cannot complain about who hires and who he fires. You can’t say “it’s all on you because you’re the boss” and then take away his power to run things.

In particular, the mid and lower level managers at the bureau of prisons who somehow managed to have cameras that shut down at the exact moment of Jeffrey Epstein‘s death. Maybe if they had spent less money on helping prisoners be transgender and more on security equipment it wouldn’t have happened?

Or the mid and lower level management at the justice department that’s spend time investigating Trump on charges that turned out to be falsified Instead of arresting, illegal migrants and turning them over to be deported.

I guess I don’t need to sell it, though. I’m sure you completely agree with me and there will be no argument about that.

What a bullshit comment. Why don't you start with - Trump needs to make better hiring decisions, based on qualifications and experience. You know - MERIT, rather than whether he'll kiss Trump ass or do his bidding.

Trump, who bitches like hell about DEI hiring, falsely claims he's making the USA, a "meritocracy", is in fact hiring people because they "look the part", or they're dating a member of his family, or they're loyal and willing to go to jail for him. That's hardly merit. In fact it's the opposite of merit.

A year ago, Republicans in the House and Senate pass a bill which, among other things, increased the number of flights going in and out of Dulles, over the vehement objections to Virginia Senators and other Democrats who cited safety concerns.

One week ago, Trump fired all of the "DEI" hires at the TSA. And voila, right on cue, Trump blames Democrats and DEI hires for HIS fuckups. The bodies weren't even out of the water yet.

The rest of the world is DISGUSTED by Trump's behaviour today. How stupid are you people????

dimocraps are scum --

The Biden Administration stopped hiring qualified air traffic controllers because the qualified candidates they were getting were "too white."

They changed the test to be "biographical" -- code for, "We're going to ask you about any racism you've experienced in your life," wink-wink -- and refused to hire 3000 qualified "too white" candidates.

And apparently they just couldn't find enough marginally-qualified DEI candidates, either:

And also, too mentally sane and too non-developmentally-disabled. Biden pushed to recruit "people with severe intellectual and psychiatric disabilities," because those are just the folks you want in the incredibly stressful air traffic control towers where workers are literally keeping planes from hitting each other every minute.

The Moonie Times??? You are not seriously suggesting that the Washington Times can be believed, are you?????

  • Although the Washington Times has an extreme right editorial bias, they report straight news with a much lower bias. Therefore, we rate them right-center biased overall. We also rate them Questionable and factually mixed due to poor sourcing, holding editorial positions contrary to scientific consensus, and numerous failed fact checks.
Launched in 1982, The Washington Times is a daily newspaper concentrating on politics and news. Based in Washington, D.C., The Washington Times was founded by a self-professed messiah, Korean Sun Myung Moon. According to its parent company, during Washington Times’ 20th anniversary, Moon said: “The Washington Times is responsible for letting the American people know about God” and “The Washington Times will become the instrument in spreading the truth about God to the world.”

/—-/ I watched the presser. Trump didn’t say that. He said the FAA DEI hires included physically and severely mentally handicapped put in place by Obama. He ended that in his first term. Bidum brought it back and Trump just ended it again.
So stop lying.

After the FAA went out of their way to announce hiring criteria of DIVERSITY, they deserve such scrutiny.
DEI must DIE
:evil:

We all know that “DEI” is the new “N” word.

Right wingers have been beating that white “nationalist” drum for weeks.

Trump has made a fetish of it.

It’s very obviously a play to angry white resentment.
Stoking the flames of bigotry.

~~~~~~
The butt hurt Neo-Marxists seek to find anything to detract from the good work Trump has done in the short 9 days in office. At least Trump has an opinion on what may has happened... Joey B., would have avoided the media press questions and called a "Lid".
What good work?
Bitch about DEI when we can all see his incompetent list of nominees
Correct, Trump never said the accident was because of DEI. That being said, since Biden and the Democrats promoted that policy, there is always a chance that DEI was to blame at least partially.
Why?
Just heard on fox only 19 air traffic controllers at Reagan when they are supposed to be 30. 1 person doing 2 peoples job!
Stay uninformed as always
Probably a really good time for a hiring freeze don’t you think?
Fuckup, his supposed common sense told him DEI was to blame for this
No, but he injected it into his act. And he went on about it, making it up as he went along.
He made a fool of himself overall. Offering his fact free uninformed analysis. Trying to conjure a way to blame it on Biden and Mayor Pete.
just idiotic. Embarrasing.
And this buffoon is supposed to be a world leader?
