If Elon Musk was promoting and held a lottery to encourage voter turnout in swing states, but the lottery was only eligible to to those that had signed a petition to support pro choice or trans rights, you would hate it and you would probably claim it was evidence of voter fraud. Hell, you probably still think that the elite rich are behind democrats for some reason or another, despite the fact that it's clearly Republicans that help them more.
