You've linked the article...why not read it?
7.4 billion investment is funded almost entirely by....America.
Thats pretty much how most of "brought in 18 trillion" bullshit goes.
None of that has happened over the last year. The left kept saying it would but it hasn’t. So why would we expect it in the next year?I would predict that if Trump keeps the existing tariffs as high as they are now, this country's economy is going to flirt with recession level consumer spending. Prices are going keep rising and jobs are going to keep falling and that ain't good. I have seen absolutely nothing that indicates increased domestic manufacturing either. Plus, inflation will continue to rise too, although maybe not like it did in 2021 unless he gets that big rebate thing passed through Congress.
Be careful Bruh….it’s starting to look like Trump has de-brained you…or Mac1958 ‘ed your mind. Stay in the game…stay credible.Either Trump is telling a bald-faced lie or the man has some senility setting in. His tariffs have brought in $236 billion in revenue this year. Even at the current rates, his tariffs would bring in $2.3 trillion over ten years, so why does he continue to claim an absurdly false figure?
Trump first used the "$18 trillion" figure during a cabinet meeting on December 2, then repeated it during comments to reporters on December 3 and in an interview with Politico on December 8. He also brought it up, unprompted and somewhat bizarrely, during the announcement on December 4 of a new peace treaty that aims to end hostilities between Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
On Sunday, Trump revisited the $18 trillion claim while speaking to reporters at the White House. "Because of the tariffs, we've taken in more than 18—think of this—more than $18 trillion. There's never been anything like it," Trump said. Moments later, he repeated the claim, stating that "we took in more than $18 trillion in 10 months."
That figure is utterly fantastical—and Trump's explanation is more than a little confusing. More on that in a moment.

Trump says tariffs have brought in $18 trillion. That's impossible.
Tariffs have generated less than $300 billion in new tax revenue, and other claimed investments don't come close to the president's tally.reason.com

Have those investments been made or just promised?
So "some Americans" getting hurt by them is okay with you?Well, maybe. I think Trump is gambling that steep tariff pressure might make some foreign companies and countries to acquiesce to fairer trade before Americans are hurt too bad while creating more incentive to spur more companies to move manufacturing back here.
I think at some point, Trump will either pull the tariffs when they approach that level of success or will eventually pull them if they fail in their goal and too many Americans start getting only hurt too much by them.
The orange retard isn't coherent NOW.I will be shocked if he is still coherent by mid-terms.

Trump likely fired the aids that tried.Last night he once again said drug prices were coming down by 600%.
Truly the most pathetic part of him saying that is none of his aids have the courage to explain it to him, they just keep letting him make a fool out of himself instead.
