Democrats support other nations having tariffs on America because they are traitors working to intentionally collapse America.
Democrats = traitors
Silence is golden, Duct tape is silver..

Both Obama and Biden added or implemented tariffs when they were president, but not to the extent that Trump has. It is a populist action that is taken to make themselves appear to support American workers when in fact it does not.
Well, maybe. I think Trump is gambling that steep tariff pressure might make some foreign companies and countries to acquiesce to fairer trade before Americans are hurt too bad while creating more incentive to spur more companies to move manufacturing back here.
I think at some point, Trump will either pull the tariffs when they approach that level of success or will eventually pull them if they fail in their goal and too many Americans start getting only hurt too much by them.
I think you are correct, many countries have scaled back their tariffs on our stuff. But for the most part those countries are fairly small potatoes and the net gain isn't that significant, but I could be wrong. I think what happens is that countries like China will reroute their stuff through 3rd party countries and/or raise tariffs on our stuff exported to them. As far as manufacturing moving back home, I've heard a lot of talk but not a lot of action where big money has been spent and manufacturing jobs are currently dropping. When do we see that turn around?
No he didnt thats the figure of new investment money not tariffs
I'm sure that must either be a typo or Trump misspoke intending to mean $18 billion. I hope the Donald gets a good long rest over the Christmas holiday, he deserves it.
If all of it gets built, about $18T in new manufacturing plants....how does "18 billion" fix anything? Both are completely wrong.
