ITMT, I heard this morning that Nick Reiner has already been arraigned and faces charges that could end in the death penalty. That apparently the whole family thing started at some Christmas party that Conan O'Brian was holding and spilled over into the Reiner home so loud that neighbors heard it all.

Kind of impressive how much more and faster details are coming out on the Reiner murder compared to the two attempts on Trump's life, Thomas Crooks or the bum that shot Charlie Kirk.

I've seen molasses run faster in January.

Well, maybe. I think Trump is gambling that steep tariff pressure might make some foreign companies and countries to acquiesce to fairer trade before Americans are hurt too bad while creating more incentive to spur more companies to move manufacturing back here.

I think at some point, Trump will either pull the tariffs when they approach that level of success or will eventually pull them if they fail in their goal and too many Americans start getting only hurt too much by them.

I think you are correct, many countries have scaled back their tariffs on our stuff. But for the most part those countries are fairly small potatoes and the net gain isn't that significant, but I could be wrong. I think what happens is that countries like China will reroute their stuff through 3rd party countries and/or raise tariffs on our stuff exported to them. As far as manufacturing moving back home, I've heard a lot of talk but not a lot of action where big money has been spent and manufacturing jobs are currently dropping. When do we see that turn around?

Inflation is rising, albeit very slowly but still going up and I see nothing that will change that trend. And the big rebate check Trump talks about will not help that situation at all. If he doesn't reduce or drop those tariffs then prices will go up faster than income will and I believe the latest job numbers are not encouraging. So, maybe he will claim victory and lower those tariffs, but I am not optimistic about that.

With democrats? Never in your life. Things will get worse, MUCH worse with continued democrat rule. Look at the kinds of people they are running now.

At least Trump is trying. He is bucking a GLOBAL system that has been in place for ages. Will he fully succeed? That is questionable, but if he can't do it, it can't be done and I'd rather Trump try and fail, partly or wholly, than have a Kamala Harris, Gavin Newsom or a Zohan Mamdani.

But I think Trump will succeed, maybe not fully, and it is going to take time, especially with every democrat on the planet fighting him tooth and nail.
