Researching anti-semitism and protesting foreign governments? What do they have to do with research or education? What does the denial of the opportunity for education because of religion or ethnicity have to do with research or education. Harvard clearly isn't doing the research that the money was intended for.
So what. It's being spent on crap. Funding isn't stopped. Just cut. Write a better budget.
I also wonder why they think they need such a substantial percentage of foreign students. It's not as if we have a shortage of qualified students in the U.S. Nearly all the applicants to schools like Harvard are beyond exceptional. Only about 5% of applicants get accepted in any given year. They could easily fill their slots, many times over, with American citizens.
That's certainly true. While there are some very worthwhile college majors, many are worth next to nothing.
They should pay off their student loans. No one forced them to make a stupid degree choice. They took that loan and made that choice.
